this is funny!these guys are liars man- if a grad recruiter at a law firm told me it was raining tomorrow, I'd wear my sunglasses; wouldn't trust a word they say lol

I don’t think you can assume that. All it would take is for someone to be off ill/ on leave unexpectedly and a deadline they were aiming for could easily be pushed back.yeah super weird tbh I dunno if we should assume it’s a no if we don’t get a reply by today
i never got that email. is that for spring? my email says early februarythis is funny!

If this is the case, are we only allowed to apply through training contract applications? It seems a bit unfair considering they state they mainly take applicants from their vacation scheme from training contracts.Am i correct in saying that Clyde & Co only accept vac scheme applications from students and not graduates?
I’m pretty sure Ashurst can provide exemption from the emotify test if you’re diagnosed with Autism. Reach out before applying to double check!Holding myself accountable again (BM test).

I'm actually ineligible for S&C VS. I'll be applying for their TC. 13 firm's rejections overall now.
I did the BM test yesterday. It didn't go especially well, honestly.
Applications left to do: Fried Frank; McDermott, Will & Emery; Paul Hastings (all for direct TCs).
I want to apply to Ashurst too. But I found their tests impossible.
So sorry to hear this but was this for Spring or summer?HSF PFO but at least they read my app lol

Yeah you are only allowed to apply through TC as a graduate. Especially annoying as they don't have a London TC. I think they are trying to put forward the paralegal route for graduates (aka applying internally). If this is the case, are we only allowed to apply through training contract applications? It seems a bit unfair considering they state they mainly take applicants from their vacation scheme from training contracts.
Ashurst, EDF Energy, NRF and WLG Gowling all use the Artic Shores test.Holding myself accountable again (BM test).

Hello fellow career changer.Woohoo! I'm a career changer and just completed my first ever VI, from my first ever VS application. Amazing how nerve-wracking sitting in your own house suddenly becomes when someone fires a question at you, starts a timer and expects you to give a competent answer. Fingers crossed it went well!
I've been lurking for a while and am amazed at the dedication and perseverance of you all with your many, many apps, interviews, tests, etc.! Good luck!
This is really helpful thank you. I have noticed some law firms have made a private capital and a private credit practice to help with this issue.Hi there @Tcvspfo ,
Yep - private credit is definitely still relevant. Law firms have made whole new practices focusing on private credit. Sidley Austin, Dechert, and Morgan Lewis are three I can think of right now.
I also found out not long ago, that Kramer Levin also launched its new private credit practice. See the full article here:

Kramer Levin creates private credit legal practice
Law firm Kramer Levin has launched a new multidisciplinary private credit practicealternativecreditinvestor.com
The recent nature of this launch emphasises its increasing relevance in the modern financial world.
@Jaysen had also written a really insightful article in June, which I‘ve linked HERE.
Lastly, I had made a post earlier on how to approach the Weil question specifically.
Best of luck on your Weil app!!!🚀
