3 out of 8 open days ain’t that good ngl…
i beg to differ. It’s hard getting an open day. Of course not as hard as a vacation scheme but still competitive nonetheless. I’ve not heard from 2 firms. I wouldn’t diminish someone getting an open day. You only need 1 yes amongst the 10’s of No’s you’ll get.

The Bird & Bird WG is very hard. So I sympathise with you on that rejection.

What CC open day did you apply to?

Hi @Ram Sabaratnam and @Andrei Radu

I trust you are well.

I am trying to approach this 350-word question 'What steps have you taken to research a career as a solicitor at an international law firm? What appeals to you about this career?

Should I dedicate half of the word count to 'the steps' I took and mention open days/vs. etc., and the rest of the word count to what appeals to me about a career at an international law firm?

Thank you in advance.

It is disappointing to have to say this, but please keep conversations respectful in the forums.

You don’t have to agree with everyone, but if you want to challenge their opinions, avoid personal attacks or insults.

Please keep this in mind - I really don't want to have to start having to give warnings or temporary bans out.

Hi guys, I got told I need to complete 2 tests for Mayer Brown, is this automatic and sent to everyone that applies or after screening?

I'm pretty sure it's automatic, I just completed mine. Before you do, I really recommend doing the practice test they have in their email - it's quick and gives a good insight into the test (which isn't one I've encountered before).
