For Linklaters open day, grad rec told me that we will hear by the end of tmr
Hey Guest, do you have a question for graduate recruitment? Gemma Baker from Willkie is live to answer your questions!
My last message on this as it seems to have rattled the feathers of non law students.Hmm, I'm interested in what you think could be offered instead.
I understand your frustration is perhaps centred on the contradiction of the dynamic (non-law students are syphoning the law opportunities at uni) but it does come off like you feel they don't deserve it. Or, it's with your view that they are making it difficult for Law students who paying to make it in the profession. Who is arguably demonstrating a stronger passion? Perhaps you could clarify what the contention is?
With this in mind, proposing a system where law societies are dominated by law students or divided into non-law and law strata seems confusing.
Thank you for this update. Is this for any specific open day or is this for all of them. For Linklaters open day, grad rec told me that we will hear by the end of tmr
I’m not sure, I just asked when they will respond for the open dayThank you for this update. Is this for any specific open day or is this for all of them.
Guys, no one here who actually wants a VC, and TC cares about this drama. If you disagree with what IneedaTCASAP said, that's fine; he is entitled to his opinion, and it's just that- one person's opinion. I just don't see the need to go back and forth about this non-issue when it is not the focus or purpose of this forum. There are people here really trying to get answers and assistance so they can progress their careers, and you guys are starting drama over nothing. Please, no more posts about this. If you're affected by what he said, talk to your therapist or cry into a pillow- I think I speak for the majority of people on here in saying- no one cares.Hmm, I'm interested in what you think could be offered instead.

Can anyone advise if there are any open days remaining for people with neurodivergence or disabilities?
I'm sorry that we got our wires crossed, and I didn't mean to initiate a barrage of comments against you. However, I hope you can see where I was coming from, and that the initial 'coasting' message, and particularly the subsequent 'if the shoes fit' message really did send the impression that you think that humanities degrees are something you can just push through without doing any work. It just really bothered me as its a fairly common thing you hear from people, that history is easy, and its something I have heard repeatedly from other aspiring solicitors, at open days and at events at my university.I did not say those degrees were useless nor were they easier. Another member of the forum assumed that.
And sorry, but I have the absolute right to respond to someone who (mistakenly) implied first that I was just 'coasting' through a degree without putting in any effort, and then personalised it by saying 'if the shoe fits'. Obviously its not the point of the forum, but I thought I should let the other person know just how elitist and insulting it came across. If someone directly insulted you or your work ethic, I would not be surprised in the slightest if you responded, nor would I belittle the response and essentially imply that its meaningless. I would back it completely! There are people here really trying to get answers and assistance so they can progress their careers, and you guys are starting drama over nothing. I know W&C hasn’t as my friend is interviewing there next week.Has W&C and/or Simmons filled their WVS’s? I remember seeing weeks ago that people on here already received offers, but I personally still haven’t heard back at all.
Thanks @studentdelaw786 . Just for the Insight Days? What did they say about grads applying to VS?I spoke to Grad Rec at the Legal Cheek Law Fair, who confirmed that grads can apply for the Insight Days (closing on 12th November). I’ve drafted my application for them, you have nothing to lose by applying.
On the W&C app, you have 3 choices based on your preference for a scheme, so I assume they are still filling all three schemes and considering how many they take each scheme, they are still filling spots and having interviews.Has W&C and/or Simmons filled their WVS’s? I actually meant in your applications for the Law Club functions that you haven't been able to secure successfully from a committee you were less than complimentary about but OK. Good to hear that your actual open day applications are fareing better and good luck when you start to apply for VS.Rejected for 3 open days, invited to 3 and applied for 8. I’m grateful for the success I’ve had soo far actually. Have a nice evening.
When did you apply to Covington?Hello Everyone,
I require your help, firstly I just wanted to ask if anyone knows the deadline for Pinsent Mason's Spring and Summer VC ? I have tried to apply for winter but due to issues with the portal I could not submit my application
Secondly, I have heard back from Covington and I have progressed to the next stage which is an hour-long written exercise. Has anyone completed this before or know what it entails I would like to be prepared. Thank you for the help
my plus students club has events. They had an open day with hsf but I’m not sure if its done by now.Can anyone advise if there are any open days remaining for people with neurodivergence or disabilities?
