I am a prospective career changer who has applied for several VS this week (Macs, Simmons, Reed Smith and NRF). I have a first-class degree from Oxford in History and have worked in public affairs for well-known technology companies for the last 4 years (graduated 2020).
Do I have a realistic shot of getting an interview or AC? I've tried to link my strong interest in the technology industry to this sector in law, and I think I've done a fairly good job covering transferrable skills in my applications too. Is my lack of pre-existing legal experience likely to be a big issue?
