No - you don’t have to use the full word count. Anywhere between 75-100% is usually fineDoes Travers Smith GR typically expect applicants to use the full word count for its Vacation Scheme apps? The total is 2k words, divided among the following:
1. Cover Letter (max 1k words)
2. Please provide details of your main extra-curricular activities and leisure interests.(Max 500 words)
3. Please provide details of any positions of responsibility that you have held and your key achievements.(Max 500 words)
For question 3, should I focus on the key achievements specifically related to the positions of responsibility I have held, or are general achievements also acceptable?
hey - yesterday! submitted app n VI a few hours before the deadlineWhen did u get the bakers ac?
the email said 5 questions and 15 minutes to complete so I imagine it would be like 1 minute prep 2 minutes speak something like that for each questionDoes anyone know if the Goodwin VI has timed prep or if it is unlimited?
Usually firms are only interested if you’ve applied for a VS/TC as they don’t want to repeat screen you if they had a certain reason for not progressing you application previously. They will ask what is different in your current application / what has changed to assess this. I would say no if it’s just been for an Open Day.When applying for NRF, it asks whether you've applied to them before. I've only ever applied for an open day with them; there's no box to explain what I applied for. Either do I click yes or no, though?
Firstly, huge congratulations on the AC!! 🫶 🥳hey - yesterday! submitted app n VI a few hours before the deadline
They recruit after their deadline and will look at applications after this. I will say a lot of firms that do this still look at applications in date order however so applying as soon as you can is usually the best practice.Does anyone have the graduate recruitment contact for Hill Dickinson or know if they recruit on a rolling basis?
Hi! Is this for a particular firm/firms? It would be easier to get an accurate answer if you know which firms 😊Does anyone have an idea, or is there a thread, that gives the 'usual dates' for AC in London for Summer VS, because I am completing my year abroad, so to have an idea, check my exams, etc.
hey! haven't had an ac but at their open day they said the group task is usually a debate on a random topicHi! Can anyone give any Jones Day Assessment Centre insights such as what kind of group task you had to do and what the interview involved? I have had interviews and ACs with Clifford Chance, Osborne Clarke and Baker McKenzie if I can help in return! 😊
Thank you!hey! haven't had an ac but at their open day they said the group task is usually a debate on a random topic
