When applying for NRF, it asks whether you've applied to them before. I've only ever applied for an open day with them; there's no box to explain what I applied for. Either do I click yes or no, though?
Usually firms are only interested if you’ve applied for a VS/TC as they don’t want to repeat screen you if they had a certain reason for not progressing you application previously. They will ask what is different in your current application / what has changed to assess this. I would say no if it’s just been for an Open Day.

Does anyone have the graduate recruitment contact for Hill Dickinson or know if they recruit on a rolling basis?
They recruit after their deadline and will look at applications after this. I will say a lot of firms that do this still look at applications in date order however so applying as soon as you can is usually the best practice.

Hi! Can anyone give any Jones Day Assessment Centre insights such as what kind of group task you had to do and what the interview involved? I have had interviews and ACs with Clifford Chance, Osborne Clarke and Baker McKenzie if I can help in return! 😊
hey! haven't had an ac but at their open day they said the group task is usually a debate on a random topic

Hi all, looking for a bit of recruitment advice. I’m planning to apply to Burges Salmon soon. I did an AC with them in the cycle before last, and last year I applied for a paralegal job. Initially I was unsuccessful however I received a call back offering me a paralegal position in another department. I had to decline as I had another job, however is this something I can mention in my application and would it be beneficial or would it hinder the application? Thanks!

How much notice do you usually get for an AC? This is my first cycle and I'm generally a bit crap at interviews. I don't want to set myself up for extra disappointment by preparing and then getting rejections but equally don't want to be unprepared if I do get one, do you get enough notice usually?

You usually get a few weeks’ notice so there will be plenty of time to prepare! My soonest post interview has been 3 weeks and my longest about 8 weeks! Good luck with your first cycle 😊
