Hello! Does anyone have any advice for the Travers Smith application? I am not sure if I should include addresses for the cover letter since it's 1000 words/trying to keep it to one page of A4. Furthermore, the additional questions being 500 words each is slightly tricky, would it be acceptable to have them around 300-350 words instead? Just don't want to repeat myself too much!

Any1 been progressed to the stage after the Eversheds VI?

I completed mine on the 29th of December but still haven't heard back; and from the thread, I haven't seen anyone progress yet.

I did my VI on the 27th not sure what the next stage would be- I think AC

Next stage is AC. I have progressed, but that's for Birmingham. I'm not sure where you guys have applied to. Best of luck though! :)

Well done!! I don’t think it’s automatic because their website says this about their application process ‘Timeline’: ‘Selected candidates invited to take the Watson Glaser psychometric test (practice test above)’.

Btw if you don’t mind me asking, when did you apply ?
I applied on the 27th of Dec and got the test invite yesterday!

Has anyone got a PFO from Withers, Mayer Brown or Hogan Lovells after WG? Havent heard anything from them yet!
I applied to Hogan Lovells just abit under two weeks ago and did my WGT over a week ago but haven’t yet heard anything as to whether it’s a PFO or AC.

To be fair though today is the deadline day so maybe they are going to start sending out the AC decisions over the next few weeks (since most people will have applied closer to the deadline).

anyone heard back from Simmons & Simmons since the VI for the summer vacation scheme... Has anyone got an invite for an AC? Strangely, on LinkedIn, there's a person who already got offered an Summer VS in November, but other than that, haven't heard anything.

No address needed, just address to Ms Germaine VanGeyzel. I don't think Travers are too strict on the word count, particularly in respect of the cover letter i.e. it can be say 700 words. On the additional questions, I think it is recommended to use as much of the 500 words as you can but you are correct in trying to avoid repeating yourself too much. Grad Recruitment emphasised that these additional questions are about getting to know you as a person and what you are about so as along as you feel as though you have gotten this across, then I would imagine that it would be okay.

Goodwin VI and Gibson Dunn's first interview with GR. One question, anyone know what the hell a 'asynchronous video' is 😂😂😂
Asynchronous means you record your answers in your own time and the person watching at the other end, reviews your responses in their own time rather than you both needing to be available at the same time as one another.

Basically any video interview where the questions are pre-recorded and that isn't scheduled into your diary for a specific time/date.
