I got a reply saying "you are not eligible". Apparently graduates can't apply, lol.Has anyone heard back from Clyde and Co Vac scheme?
How confident are you in your knowledge of the core LLB/PGDL subjects, including Contract, Tort, Trusts, Land, Criminal, and Public Law?
TCLA is teaming up with BPP for a free interactive event designed to refresh your fundamentals, especially for those interested in or planning to take the SQE. We'll practise multiple choice SQE questions, with prizes for the highest scoring participants!

How are you telling me it is the same when I said it wasn’t?There was an interview last year before the scheme, it is the same as last year.
Strangely they spammed me with 7 emails saying exactly the same thing, which by the way does not make sense because I already applied and did the test (which they say we will have to do again if successful on the 7th of Jan... really confused, anyone has a take on this?? 😂 😂 😂 )Has anyone heard back from Clyde and Co Vac scheme?
I don’t think you should assume that. I applied spring and I just got an AC invite, so it might still take a bit before they start to send out invites for summer. Was your HSF application for the Spring VS or Summer? I applied for Summer.
I submitted my HSF application on the 1st of Dec and passed the benchmark on the 3rd of Dec and I also have not heard back at all.
I wonder if HSF goes through Spring VS applications first and then the Summer ones.
I read somewhere on this forum that HSF get back to people in batches and review strong applications a few times before making final AC offers as they recieve 1000’s of applications.
Not sure whether to assume PFO.
You absolutely do! Most law firms highlight how they’re after transferable skills and that their applications are open for non law graduates. Seems like you already know how to navigate through the applications- linking it to transferable skills and even a sector you’re interested in etc. Keep going!!I am a prospective career changer who has applied for several VS this week (Macs, Simmons, Reed Smith and NRF). I have a first-class degree from Oxford in History and have worked in public affairs for well-known technology companies for the last 4 years (graduated 2020).
Do I have a realistic shot of getting an interview or AC? I've tried to link my strong interest in the technology industry to this sector in law, and I think I've done a fairly good job covering transferrable skills in my applications too. Is my lack of pre-existing legal experience likely to be a big issue?
Heya, congrats - when did you apply to GD?Goodwin VI and Gibson Dunn's first interview with GR. One question, anyone know what the hell a 'asynchronous video' is 😂😂😂
Thanks! I applied 14/09 my very first app!Heya, congrats - when did you apply to GD?
Almost immediately, maybe like 20 mins? How long did people wait to get their feedback report from the Macfarlanes test?
Have bakers started sending out AC invites post-VI?Does anyone have any insight on the Baker AC from the previous cycles perhaps that's willing to share, pls pm me!! Tq)
No need to contact them I suspect given the volume of emails there is some form of human error or glitch.Strangely they spammed me with 7 emails saying exactly the same thing, which by the way does not make sense because I already applied and did the test (which they say we will have to do again if successful on the 7th of Jan... really confused, anyone has a take on this?? 😂 😂 😂 )

Should I contact them or something ???
I’d generally approach it as a more forward looking answer where you envisage yourself in the firm rather than relying on previous examples. Your previous examples won’t be directly answering the question as it’s asking you how you would approach something at their firm, not in a different environment. I have seen people reference other example briefly, but it’s really important to not make it the core of your answer. For video interviews or interview questions in general that ask questions like " how would you respond to feedback and implement it in your work" or "how would you collaborate with different people" - should you keep your answer general or given an example of when you did this?
I am never too sure, especially when the question doesn't necessarily contextualise in a specific, given scenario.
I’d assume an AC would be next.Does anyone know if there is another stage after the Goodwin VI? Like an AC? or is this it?
They said outcomes by mid January and ACs on 21/01 and 04/02.Anyone heard anything back from Gowling post VI last month?![]()
