why these firms? You seem to have missed off a lot of good firms that would probably given you a higher chance of success, also by applying to this many firms does it affect your applications? Apologies, this is my first cycle in about 7-10 years (career changer) so I am unclear of the protocol.

Generally prefer the US firms. Learning by doing. Early responsibility etc. Have had more success with them. Not sure about your second question. I got three ACs last cycle. Not sure how typical that is. I'm also a career changer. What are you doing currently? I don't know about qualification yet. I enjoyed doing tax.

Can you be a career changer if you’ve been chasing a career but doing another whilst chasing. Surely you left university and since then have been applying to law ever since I’m not sure that’s a career changer. But nonetheless I’m sure the experience you’ve gained working alongside applying has been ever so useful for transferable skills.

I don’t think it matters about your status as a career changer- you should be extremely proud of the hard work you have put in whilst exploring another pathway!

If @Tintin06 says they are a career changer then so be it - no need to question them about it and say nevertheless I’m sure you’ve gained experience?? It’s not everything you must comment on sometimes tap into your emotional intelligence and keep quiet or know how to phrase things to come across less patronising.

We have warned you privately about your tone in previous posts and I have edited a number of those previous posts to remove tone that is clearly unnecessarily rude in response to others.

Your response to Tintin is another example of that behaviour.

You talk about people needing to have comprehension but there is also a need to have emotional intelligence and the ability to understand how your posts will be perceived by others.
