I spoke to grad rec today at the legal check law fair and they basically said they’re rolling in the way that they will progress successful candidates before the deadline but they will look at all apps. She also said that they probably won’t start looking at apps before mid-late Nov.Do you know if they are rolling?

but alsooo - i have seen some comments on here saying that sometimes they reject you because they think you will not benefit aka you already know so much (so maybe it could be that) but i am happy to share my answers![]()

ZipLawDoes anybody have any good resources for answering commercial awareness related questions? I always struggle with linking an article back to a firm.
Hi, could use with some advice in terms of grades for a non-law graduate. To sum up - I'm a STEM oxbridge grad applying for Open Days/ VS etc. Graduated with 2.1 overall (integrated masters) but quite a few of my module grades in my second year and finals are in the 2.2s and one is quite bad - 31 percent (thought still technically a pass). The rest of my timed exams are low 2.1s but my non-timed modules e.g. my masters project are much better - high firsts (hence why I managed to get the 2.1 overall). Just wondering how much this may disadvantage me for city law firms? thanks for your help
Hi! just wanted to when you applied if that was okay?Hello! I just got an invite to the Ashurst case study/ written exam does anyone have any advice or tips for this? Thank you
Thank you for your help, as always!😊I do not think you need to unnecessarily try to maximize work experience sections. Generally, the only places where firms expect you to utilize all the available word count is the motivational/competency/commercial awareness questions. Graduate recruiters know that student work experiences can significantly vary in the nature of the relevant tasks and responsibilities and will probably not expect you to write 250 words to describe a short volunteering or virtual internship experience.
That said, I do think you should analyze your past work experiences from all sides. You will find that they have many more valuable aspects than you previously thought.
i still haven't got it. i emailed the firm thrice now, I sent the last one today. I also contacted the grad rec on LinkedIn but idk I am running out of ideas @Jessica BookerCheck your spam folders first, and if they are not there or in your normal email by Monday morning, then contact the fir
Yes, it seems like the only question is "Why AG?" and also yes, I didn't see anywhere about selecting Spring vs Summer... Maybe email grad recruitment?I just put degree and the grade graduated with. I think the only way you could put your modules would be to put them as separate qualifications which doesn't seem correct.
Did you find the form suspiciously short? Also I couldn't see where to select Spring or Summer, just a location for their Placement Scheme.
