Thoughts: I am very happy to know that I am starting to move past the application stage for some firms! Also been working hard to understand the logic behind SJT/WG tests, just hope it fully clicks sooner rather than later.

I received the Goodwin VI- was super shocked but happy of course. I think the VI went well but we shall see.

Got rejected by Bakers post app and annoyed about Freshfields introducing the online tests!! 😭

Got an email update from Kirkland saying that they are still reviewing applications for the direct TC program and will be in touch in the next few weeks

Ah fine. Any info on whether they are gonna predominantly hire from the vac scheme route? Asking since we’ve seen the most ACs for the vac scheme route and just one for the direct TC route. Are they really holding a scheme this time? Thanks.

Just got VI invite from W&C, anyone else had one? Just want views on the deadline… is it 72 hours from receipt of email? Quite a quick turnaround.

ETA: oops, it was Summer Vac, not DTC. Ugh.

They said they prefer VSs to assess the candidate closer and that DTC process has a higher standard for applicants. It's still possible to get hired that way though
