Nope. I’m still on 60% candidate reviewHas anyone heard from Links Middle East?
That sounds like the Macfarlanes test. Akin used one like that too. Should be past examples online somewhere. Failing that, JobTestPrep could be helpful.Freshfields seems to have introduced a new online psychometric test, the Law Online Assessment, as part of the first stage of their direct TC application process.
Seems to be a mix of SJT/verbal/numerical reasoning perhaps? ‘measures your skills, behaviours, preferences and cognitive ability’ per their website.
Because ‘only candidates who pass the online psychometric test will have their written applications reviewed in detail’, I was wondering if any of you spoke to Grad Rec about this recently and had any insights to share on the nature of the test, benchmark etc.?
First off huge congrats! Second of all when did you hear back from Hogan? Still haven’t heard back post WG.
links have historically gotten back between jan end and feb (1-13), no idea about kirklandany idea when links and Kirkland are supposed to get back?
Wait have they been sending out tests? Lol I’ve not received anything yetFreshfields seems to have introduced a new online psychometric test, the Law Online Assessment, as part of the first stage of their direct TC application process.

They send the test link out on deadline day so that will be 23rd January.Wait have they been sending out tests? Lol I’ve not received anything yet
That’s interesting, they didn’t mention that in their Applications Masterclass. They said their application process was simply an application with an 850 word personal statement, WG, then if you are successful , a half day AC.Freshfields seems to have introduced a new online psychometric test, the Law Online Assessment, as part of the first stage of their direct TC application process.

Indeed, I also attended it, that’s why I’m a bit confused. That’s interesting, they didn’t mention that in their Applications Masterclass. They said their application process was simply an application with an 850 word personal statement, WG, then if you are successful , a half day AC.
That is strange of them to not mention that. They could have given us the heads up of what to expect.Indeed, I also attended it, that’s why I’m a bit confused.
I only noticed it today on their website: https://www.freshfields.com/en-gb/careers/uk/earlycareers/freshfields-application-process/#:~:text=reviewed in detail.-,The Law Online Assessment, friendly and easy to complete.
I think the AC’s will be for the SVS and not for the DTC route because the SVS deadline was only on the 3rd of January. Most of us who applied for the SVS have not heard back yet at all. 🥲🥲Do you think there is much point still applying to Hogan Lovells for direct TC if they've already given out ACs? I was thinking I might still give it a go before the Jan 31st deadline
There is a possibility that time taken to completed could be assessed, but it’s impossible to know unless the firm/test provider provides that detail or explains that is the case.In this case the firm said that the assessment is untimed, but it should take around 75 minutes to complete. Do they still take into account how long it took the candidate to complete it? Also part of the reason I’m asking is because the 75 minutes estimate seemed unreasonable given how many questions there were and the difficulty of certain questions.
That makes sense. I just wanted to know if they can see how long it took me in the first place. Thank you! There is a possibility that time taken to completed could be assessed, but it’s impossible to know unless the firm/test provider provides that detail or explains that is the case.
