I'm starting to think my grades are the reason I'm struggling to secure a TC. I have a (low/mid) 2.1 from UCL, but then I only have a pass (unfortunately resits too) in my LPC (59%) due to mitigating circumstances. What law firms tend to be less grade-focused? I know some smaller ones that are, but are there any leading ones that are known to be more chill? thanks!
I got 62.5% in my degree. It's just one data point, ultimately. Experience is what counts for more.

For the Allen & Overy Shearman application, I applied last year and my SJT mail reads:

"Thank you for taking the time to apply and complete the interactive assessment. We hope that it has given you an insight into the working environment and types of situations you may encounter as a trainee lawyer at Allen & Overy.

Our team is now reviewing your application and you should expect to hear an outcome from us as soon as possible."

I read across the forums that passing the SJT in one cycle and using the same email for the next cycle would use the same score. Is that still true? and does the above email mean I passed the SJT? It does not clearly specify the same and I want to be sure before I submit my app. @Jessica Booker

I don’t know the specifics of this, so cannot advise.

Hey, A&O Shearman don't tell you if you've passed the benchmark for their test, they only tell you if your application has been progressed to AC. based on my experience with them, the email you received simply means they're reviewing your app, but doesn't mention that you've met their benchmark. Hope that helps!
