I had my first-stage interview with GR at Gibson Dunn at 9:30 a.m. and literally 10 minutes ago, I got invited to a second-stage interview!!! I was so worried I wouldn't perform well because I went into this one completely blind.
congratulations! When did you get the invite for the first stage interview?I had my first-stage interview with GR at Gibson Dunn at 9:30 a.m. and literally 10 minutes ago, I got invited to a second-stage interview!!! Hi I’m so sorry you were unsuccessful. I believe you can apply to the winter scheme but that will rule you out of the TC for that cycle. Do you mind if I ask when you heard back?Hi guys, I wanted to ask if I were to apply for a direct TC with freshfields, and was unsuccessful with my attempt, would that rule me out of applying for their winter vacation scheme programme? The applications for that programme open during the summer/fall I believe.
I used bullet points for most but I used prose for 2 volunteer positions. Honestly, and maybe @Jessica Booker has better insight, I don't think it's a major factor. There is so much more to the application, grades, your answers to the questions etc. that is more relevant. As long as it's clear and concise what the role entails, I don't think it makes a difference.Does anyone have any advice on how to fill out the work experience sections of these application forms. Im worried that the way Im answering them is having an impact on my success.
Is it recommended to do bullet points, mention the firm, body of text... Any insight learned on open days/ discussions with any firms would be really appreciated
02 Jancongratulations! When did you get the invite for the first stage interview?
Silence doesn’t necessarily mean rejection!Going through this thread with tears in my eyes because so many firms haven’t even bothered to send me a rejection email yet. I hate this part so much. How hard can it be to send a generic rejection email? It’s the least they can do after all the hours we spend on these applications.
So I was just thinking similar but it's more along the lines of oh ffs!Going through this thread with tears in my eyes because so many firms haven’t even bothered to send me a rejection email yet. People here are already doing VIs and ACs for the firms that haven’t responded to me, so it’s safe to say those are all rejections in my case. I don’t know if I should even continue applying to the remaining firms on my list or if it’s already too late.Silence doesn’t necessarily mean rejection!
I've always been told prose is better, though I know some people use bullet points and are fine.Does anyone have any advice on how to fill out the work experience sections of these application forms. Im worried that the way Im answering them is having an impact on my success.

never too late give it a crackPeople here are already doing VIs and ACs for the firms that haven’t responded to me, so it’s safe to say those are all rejections in my case. I don’t know if I should even continue applying to the remaining firms on my list or if it’s already too late.
I'm doing this! Applying for the direct tc this year, and depending on how this application season goes, I'll apply for the winter vs.Is it too late to apply to W&C. Wondering if I should just apply directly instead as it’s non-rolling and people are already receiving ACs for spring
