guys i can't do this anymore tbh - i don't know if i'll ever be good enough to get a TC and don't get me wrong its so nice to see everyone's success here but it can get a bit overwhelming - might take a short break just to clear my head
Hey, this is a really valid feeling. I expressed the same sentiment to my friend (an associate at an MC firm) and she said even she had felt the same during the app stage.

Taking a break will definitely help clear your head but don’t give up. You can definitely do this!!!

Hi, I know it’s overwhelming but I’m sure you will get there and you are definitely good enough to get a tc :). People spend more than five cycles on getting a tc, the average age of people doing a tc is apparently 26 and the firm I worked in, so many 1-3 years pqe associates told me it took them 4-5 years after grad to secure a tc and they just tried to build their experience those years by paralegalling. I’m sure you’ll reach there. Take a break and relax for a while, I’m sure you’ll progress eventually :)

This feeling is very valid and trust me I’m in the same boat. Some days I’m unable to even sleep properly due to stress :(. I am also an international student and want to practice in UK so this is added stress too. On days I feel like this, I distract myself and take a break, talk to friends. Go for an outing, motivate yourself :)

Remember, we only need one offer and there are more than 150 firms.

Best of luck!

Does anyone have any advice for the Withers VS application form? The word count is like 60 words and questions are very vague. so do i choose 1-2 points to talk about in fair amounts of detail....? Not sure if there's a specific format that is recommended.

thank u

@Jessica Booker Hi Jessica - I'm writing my application for US law firms and have a low 2.1 in my first-year from Oxbridge. I believe I had mitigating circumstances (ie undiagnosed—now diagnosed—OCPD) which I have now communicated to my University but it will take a few weeks' time for me to receive any acknowledgement for the same. Should I still mention this? And if yes, how do I disclose it?

I feel the exact same way. Just take a break to recharge. It is Christmas soon after all. I’m sure you’ll get there eventually. Breaks are completely normal to need. NQs get post-qualification leave after all.
