Thatās super darkšnot to take away any hope for people waiting for W&C post-AC, but just for insight, I was rejected after AC for spring last year, and they literally sent me my PFO after the spring scheme was over

thats ridiculous, why would they take so long. they said i would get a response in 48 hours on monday cause i had a reason for them to expedite, and its friday and i still haven't heard back yet lol.not to take away any hope for people waiting for W&C post-AC, but just for insight, I was rejected after AC for spring last year, and they literally sent me my PFO after the spring scheme was over
Oh my, I hope not ahaha so the deadline is 3 January 2025 and last year Lift-off candidates heard back mid December..Thanks, I just have a sneaky sensation we wonāt hear back before vac scheme deadline lol
I saw some people were still receiving offers for WVS on 21st November last year, so I don't think its over until at least a week before the scheme. Don't know if I'm being delusional at this point, but its helping me at least hahaThatās super darkš
this just ruined my day lmao. I didn't think this was a thing firms donot to take away any hope for people waiting for W&C post-AC, but just for insight, I was rejected after AC for spring last year, and they literally sent me my PFO after the spring scheme was over
yeah I think most people for winter have spring as their second option. I think the OP post was referring to waiting post-AC. Anyone waiting to hear post-app for WVS is probably being considered for other schemes / PFORegarding White & Case, I had heard by this time last year post-app for the Winter Vacation Scheme. I guess there's no harm in asking to be considered for other schemes. What's the worst that could happen? Anyone think that's worth doing?
na ur not being delusional at all! but I think I've really taken ' its the hope that kills you' to heart loolI saw some people were still receiving offers for WVS on 21st November last year, so I don't think its over until at least a week before the scheme. I know what you mean, I think the excess waiting time post-ac means a lot of us have the extra time to overthink everything, which isn't really beneficial :/na ur not being delusional at all! but I think I've really taken ' its the hope that kills you' to heart lool
Same, when I opened my mailbox today, and saw rejection again. It give me unreal alive feeling.šA&O Shearman rejected me TWICE! Why they emailing me again š
they ignored my email asking roughly when we will hear back by. It would at least be nice to know if we are being considered for other schemes/if WVS is filled. If I dont hear back today, Monday will have been 4 weeks since my AC without a peep.I know what you mean, I think the excess waiting time post-ac means a lot of us have the extra time to overthink everything, which isn't really beneficial :/
Ahh try not to let the waiting consume too much of your energy (easier said than done, I know). Fingers crossed you hear back soon!they ignored my email asking roughly when we will hear back by. I got the same - nice of them to let me know twice šA&O Shearman rejected me TWICE! Why they emailing me again š
Did you go to the discovery day? I imagine they potentially are fast tracking those who went to the discovery day as those candidates have been shortlisted already and have been met and had exposure to the firm. That would at least be my thoughtsTheyāve closed their applications and have progressed people who have applied weeks after myself. Yes itās in summer but my point still stand in the fact of dragging people along. I passed the WG over a month ago. Whereas you made it to VI Iād assume progressing to AC requires a more in-depth review. Not jumping the gun of a rejection at all just saying what I see based on the progress of others on this forum.
Congrats!! Just out of curiosity, is this for their 2027 TC? Their website says they only invite applicants to the strength assessment before deadline not the rest so I assumed it was only semi rolling?
No I didnāt.Did you go to the discovery day? I imagine they potentially are fast tracking those who went to the discovery day as those candidates have been shortlisted already and have been met and had exposure to the firm. That would at least be my thoughts
