So......you submitted your application for a SUMMER SCHEME on 22/10 and emailed less than two weeks later to ask where your WG is? 😂😂😂 Does that seem reasonable and rational to you? Some firms do not automatically send assessments. They review the application before sending it; HL is a firm that does this, and with 2-3 people reviewing hundreds of applications, it may take longer than a week. Moroever, they are still presumably working on WVS applications. Please, guys, get in the habit of talking yourselves down in your head. It's easy to get anxious about the process, but you cannot let that get the best of you. It demonstrates emotional immaturity and lack of self-control when you react without patience and thought, and you end up doing more harm to your chances than good, not because you are not a worthy candidate (which I'm sure you are) but because your actions are annoying and inconsiderate to people working incredibly hard to get through applications. Remember you are not just being assessed at ACs; interactions with grad recruitment, who are the gatekeepers of the process, matter most of all.Anyone who applied to HL summer vac scheme receive a WG? I applied 22/10 and also emailed them no response..
I agree with your point on keeping calm and not going crazy with sending emails.So......you submitted your application for a SUMMER SCHEME on 22/10 and emailed less than two weeks later to ask where your WG is? 😂😂😂 Does that seem reasonable and rational to you? It was a normal question I had cuz last year they never sent me the WG and my efforts went to wasteSo......you submitted your application for a SUMMER SCHEME on 22/10 and emailed less than two weeks later to ask where your WG is? 😂😂😂 Does that seem reasonable and rational to you? Some sites, like the lawyer portal, say within 48 hours; however, I attended an open day there last week and asked Jasmine Uppal this specific question. She mentioned that they do not send WG until they read your application, and they review apps on a rolling basis.I agree with your point on keeping calm and not going crazy with sending emails.
However, I thought HL sent the WG in due course and then if you pass this, they read your application.
Apologies I did not know it’s the next stage I always assumed it was automatic at least last year it was. Some sites, like the lawyer portal, say within 48 hours; however, I attended an open day there last week and asked Jasmine Uppal this specific question. This was such a dramatic response. Just say they probably do not review summer applications this early on and not to worry. Everyone is learning how the process goes.So......you submitted your application for a SUMMER SCHEME on 22/10 and emailed less than two weeks later to ask where your WG is? 😂😂😂 Does that seem reasonable and rational to you? If applications are reviewed on a rolling basis it isn’t unreasonable to think that sending an early application for a scheme (even if months in advance) means that there will be a quicker turnaround for responses. I understand what you mean but your answer came off as pretty disrespectful and there’s really no need for that on hereSome sites, like the lawyer portal, say within 48 hours; however, I attended an open day there last week and asked Jasmine Uppal this specific question. Hey @studentdelaw786Can anyone kindly provide advice on how to approach the following question for Freshfields’ Graduate Workshop application:
“In no more than 400 words, tell us all about who you are. As part of your personal statement, you should demonstrate that you have the potential to be a great trainee. We also want to know why you want to work at Freshfields and what excites you about a career in commercial law. You may wish to mention any positions of responsibility held in university, as well as work experience or employment, achievements, interests, and personal qualities you think are relevant.”
100% accurate what you said, and it was pretty self-evident as well. I can see from your messages that you already have a WVS at W&C and ACs at HL and HSF. Just leave these professional victims and focus on yourself, and they will hopefully eventually get it after five cycles in this forum.I could care less who thought my response was mean. Your subjective views are immaterial. I could just stay quiet and let people shoot themselves in the foot. Instead of focusing on the delivery, focus on the message and stop being a victim. It will help you a lot in the end.

They are both acceptable uses of the phrase actually. Americans say could care less while Brits say couldn't......See: https://www.britannica.com/dictiona...could care less,in formal or academic writing.*couldn’t care less
Also, your poor attitude towards others (strangers no less!) will shoot you in the foot a hundred times more than an email to grad recruitment will.
Hey @IneedaTCASAPDoes anyone know Mayer brown values/what they look for in trainees. The website is awful in terms of information.
