Hey Guest, do you have a question for graduate recruitment? Gemma Baker from Willkie is live to answer your questions!
Sometimes firms ask people not to publicise they have offers until they have informed every candidates.Interesting... then why have there been reported a tonne of ACs but zero saying they've received an offer yet?
Not @Ram Sabaratnam or @Andrei Radu - i think it fine to explain three reasons as long as you are covering the rest of the question adequately. There is a lot to cover in this question:Hi, @Andrei Radu and @Ram Sabaratnam I trust you are both well.
I am currently answering this question 'Identify a current commercial issue which has recently attracted your attention. Why do you consider it to be significant? Who are the key stakeholders in this situation and what are the implications for those concerned? '
I have identified a current commercial issue, however, I was wondering if I could identify three reasons why I find this issue interesting. What do you think?
Thank you! Do you by any chance remember the turnaround time between application (so completing the SJT) & hearing back? When I went for an open day at Latham two years ago there were roughly 50 attendees.
Thank you @Jessica BookerNot @Ram Sabaratnam or @Andrei Radu - i think it fine to explain three reasons as long as you are covering the rest of the question adequately. There is a lot to cover in this question:
1) context of the story
2) why you are interested
3) why it is significant
4) who the stakeholders are
5) what the implications are
And so you’d have to be confident you are covering all of this carefully before promising three reasons why it interests you.
I am sensing the success rate for this particular AC is about 20%, I think quite a few of us get rejections unfortunately.Interesting... then why have there been reported a tonne of ACs but zero saying they've received an offer yet?
Non-rolling im pretty sureDoes anyone know if A&O is recruiting on a rolling basis this year?
how do you check your watson glaser result?Linklaters WG, I just completed this and have my results. 29/40 33% percentile. How does this add up. Do they place greater weight on the WG or the Capp test?
Hi, how did you find out how you performed in the WG? Thanks xThank you for your response. This is really interesting to know. What is The point of the WG they do a small one in the Capp test.
Hi, I personally would put working for a ball in the extra curricular section but I could honestly be totally wrong! I like to structure the work experience section as bullet points of my role and responsibilites. One tip I recently got was to include a line about transferrable skills if it is a non-legal work experience. Hope this helps xHi there, I was wondering about the extracurriculars question for applications - if I've worked on the committee for a ball, would I put this under work experience or in the extras section? also for the work experience sections how should I structure my answers? is it mostly describe what you did in the role or should I put as much attention as for the other questions and adapt these work experience answers per firm?
After the discovery day - four days after - got the survey 3-5 days after that and the WG 3 days later - now under reviewfor those that received the WG test for dla piper, when did you submit? i submitted in the end of sept
I received the VI over a week after my Watson Glaser test but I wouldn't worry if you haven't heard back yet. They usually do ACs in December/ January so they are probably still going over applications! Good luck!DLA Piper - has anyone received the VI yet? They are my number one choice, I've seen some people not process from the App stage and was just wondering whether we had a time frame on responses (nervous). I imagine after the WG test they are now reviewing apps and discussing whether they want us to progress - the WG being a filter of sorts
