Sorry about this. They are upset that they have been warned about their behaviour in the forum (and sending very hostile messages to our moderator) and they're taking it out on community members. They have now been banned.
This is quite scary considering they have got SVS offers from HSF and AG! I hope they aren’t like this in real life as well. 😞

@Jessica Booker i'm an international student and i managed to secure a spring vac scheme; assuming I successfully convert it, when i apply for the extension of my visa, do i apply for the student one (as i will be studying my SQE 1+2) or do i apply for the skilled worker one (as the firm will be sponsoring the course)
You will be on a student visa as you are not working until your TC starts.

Guys I was a bit silly and didn't take note of which firms asked for a referee can anyone help me out if they know which firms they applied to requested for either academic or professional references so that I can take note of it? Really appreciate it thanks!!

What. Ive not laughed at anyone mate.
you know what you’re doing. you got an AC - congratulations. but don’t forget you’ve also been rejected from applications, and i’m sure you’ve gotten support from the forum.

what you put in to the world is what you’ll get out of it. don’t let it be bad karma.

The theatrics being pulled at AC’s to pretend they are super friendly must be crazy! It’s really disturbing tbh.
Literally!

This is why I keep a small circle of friends and everyone else at arms length.

To be in your late teens to early 20s and behaving like this on an online forum is ridiculous. No need for nasty energy like that!

I’m soo confused 😭 they reacted an unholy amount of laughing emojis and now they’ve been portrayed as if they’ve killed someone 😂😂😂 maybe I’m missing something? 🥴
It was more to do with the kinds of posts that they were reacting to, not the haha reactions themselves. 🙂

For me the main issue is that the forum is meant to be a really honest, open and safe place where we can help each other. So it’s incredibly sad to see people finding humour out of other people’s difficulties, especially when it concerns neurodivergence- we are entering a profession where this needs to be taken more seriously not mocked!

@Andrei Radu Hi!! :) This isn't a strictly VS/TC question, but you have answered a similar question for me before so I was wondering if I could quicky get your thoughts on this. I am applying for paralegal roles at the moment. With some firms, the recruitment process is moving quite quickly and for some of them, I haven't heard back since submitting my application. I want to avoid having to accept an offer when I am still waiting on firms I would prefer. What's the best way of approaching these firms to get a response? Thank you!!

Hi guys, this is gonna seem like a weird question. If you don't get anything in second year, ie, you have a Summer free on your CV, and you apply again for vac schemes in third year, are you at a disadvantage? Assuming grades remain consistent and you do some sort of informal experience in the summer?

I guess my question is, do firms look badly on candidates for not having done a vac scheme at the end of second year?

For clarity it wasn’t about what they were reacting to.

The TCLA team had restricted the individual’s account 4-6 weeks ago due to them not abiding by TCLA’s terms, which meant we were manually approving their posts before they went live.

They didn’t like this and had kept corresponding with the team in a manner that was also against TCLA rules. When we extended the period that their account would be restricted, they went on this laughing emoji spree on the forums, something that isn't picked up by the restrictions system.

It was an act of defiance. As the individual was unwilling to change their behaviour and ultimately doubled down, we have now banned them.

You won't believe who got a presidency offer from the USA... twice.

It only gets more twisted the further up you get. We're just getting started.

Stay true to your values and maintain a strong community. It'll be alright.
