Anyone here who applied for Kirkland's vac scheme hasn't heard anything back since submitting the application form
Should I just assume PFO at this stage.

Register HereHi, what's a PFO please?Today: Reed Smith PFO, Sullivan & Cromwell PFO, Gibson Dunn Summer VS offer less than an hour after my AC🤣🤣. Applications can really be funny...
Someone on the forum had their AC under a week ago and subsequently got offered a place on the SVS.Presuming HL has done all ACs for their SVS? Anyone still not heard back from them post WG?
Gonna take it as a PFO from them
This was so reassuring !! Thank you and best of luck xxSomeone on the forum had their AC under a week ago and subsequently got offered a place on the SVS.
They mentioned there has only been 2 AC’s so far for the SVS (6 people per AC), and that HL are scheduling a lot more over the next few weeks. 🙂
I think it’s way too early to assume a PFO. The majority of us haven’t heard back post WGT. There’s still hope left for HL SVS! 🥲
Rejection emails are referred to as PFOs - which stands for “please fuck off.” Just casual lingo.Hi, what's a PFO please?
You got the test?Anyone who passes the Freshfields SJT stage and got to the WGT, could you please let me know what qualities they are focusing on?
It’s non rolling, I applied for tc and haven’t received the SJT yetGood morning all, in your expert opinion is it still ok to draft Freshfields? I see contradicting info on whether its non-rolling? I hope this week brings us good news![]()
Hi! I did the HSF AC in 2022 and 2024 and would love to help - started a conversationHSF AC for Spring. Would love any help, happy to exchange for Slaughter and May interview insight
I would like to know as well!Does anybody know if Harbottle & Lewis sponsors international students?
Hey! Last year I applied to them and got a AC for the SVS they replied back to me to offer an AC around late January. So I wouldn’t keep your hopes down. When I checked they were holding ACs till late Feb/early March.Presuming HL has done all ACs for their SVS? Anyone still not heard back from them post WG?
Gonna take it as a PFO from them
Argh, I only saw this today. I only mentioned their PE and litigation work generally, but all the examples of cases I referenced, including pro bono work, relate to deals in the US. I did not mention their broader expansion as part of their strategy but it could be inferred I guess. Fingers crossed.I definitely think you should consider writing about the firm globally and as a whole, as their serious presence in London has just been established and thus there will not be much historical work you can reference. Moreover, I think this question is inviting you to discuss Paul, Weiss' broader strategy as a firm and how the London expansion features into it. Thus, I think it would make for a more insightful analysis if you also mentioned its origins as a white show litigation specialist who has already undergone a revolution post-2008 by heavily investing into becoming a leading player in transactional sphere as well. Since this transformation has been widely recognized as a remarkable success, that could fit well within a broader narrative about Paul, Weiss' entrepreneurial edge. On that point, for a more detailed analysis of the firm's history, strategy, and expansions, take a look at the Paul, Weiss profile I wrote during the summer.
