So I worked so hard on Addleshaws application and I went back to my application to check something and found out I had written the end date of my past internship wrong and the dates now look really absurd because I put '11 January 2024' as the end date. I am so depressed. Do I email the HR team? what do I do. I don't want to get rejected just for this after completing those long questions.

@Jessica Booker

I applied to AG (rolling) on the deadline. Was this too late and have I ruined my chances of progressing to the next stage?
I wouldn’t worry about it now - you have applied by the deadline and so your application is being considered. Worrying about it won’t change the outcome, whatever it maybe, and that could still be positive because you did submit your application.

Ah Gowling VI PFO - yet another example of reaching a late stage with 0 feedback. It is the stupidest application process I have ever seen, and its very inconsiderate that there are hardly any resources out there on how to excel.
I think that’s the point - they wanna test your raw ability

I dunno what’s funny when I’m serious lol.

Same reason hardly any firms do WG - because you can practice that.
WG is one of the most commonly used assessments. Concerns using it are not about the fact you can practice for it - that is actually an important skill, because you are learning verbal comprehension through practising.

Very little in law is about “raw skill” - it’s about learned behaviours, skills and knowledge.

this is my first time applying and ive found that the more applications i have done, the more practice i have had and the better the applications are. while this is great for now, im kinda bummed that my 'favourite' firms were the ones earlier on in the cycle. im trying not to be too disheartened, becuase its early on and who knows yet, but also im imagining what my odds would have been if they had just had later deadlines..!
