I don’t think so no.does Withers recruit on a rolling basis for their DTC?
Not true for Slaughter and May. But yes, generally most aren’t rolling. Magic circle seems the exception, however. Good luck with your TC apps.I don’t think so no.
On a general point, are there really any firms which are on a rolling basis for direct TC? Don’t most have to wait for their Vacation Schemes anyway?
I'd say a setback is slightly different to a challenge. For this question on the Ashurst app "Can you provide an example of a recent set back you have had, and how you have overcome this" are people taking this as basically 'a time you overcame a challenge'?
This is what it says on their website:Does anyone know what’s going on with K&S? They got back to applicants by this time last year
No news is good news (hopefully).Does anyone know what’s going on with K&S? They got back to applicants by this time last year

hi, I was just applying to Farrer and I am a bit confused about the work experience entries. There is a segment to type in our work history and then there is a separate question asking for our legal work experience with a limit of 350 words. What is the difference between the two and how do I go about it? can anyone help me out on this?
thank you so much!the first one is boilerplate copy-paste identical to all your other applications on allhires.
for example
2024-2025 "McDonalds, Blackpool" "Developed customer service skills, dealing with drunken customers"
(etc.) You'd list your jobs and bullet points for the skills developed and notable achievements. There doesn't need to be anything specifically law related here (although if you've done legal work experience you'd definitely included it), and you wouldn't include anything law-related that's not actual work (so no open days, no "I took someone to court")
And the second one is an essay-type question asking you "Legal Work Exposure (eg. open days, vacation schemes, shadowing, or any other work to show your commitment to law)."
That says "exposure", which is more open than "work experience". Although it does say "work", it's clear from "open days", that it's not necessarily formal work, but could include things like commercial awareness events, which aren't work but do share commitment to law. In addition, I mentioned that I have previously successfully filed claims in the county court, helped someone in the employment tribunal, etc.
I'm looking at the form now- where's the 350 word bit?hi, I was just applying to Farrer and I am a bit confused about the work experience entries.
