That's logical, just making me feel anxious since I did my WG Wednesday morning and saw someone else did the WG the same day and received an AC. But it's not a rejection yet...Idk just a guess but if I were Freshfields I'd wait until next week to send more AC invites. Enough time to see how many of the current AC cohort get offers, plus we'd get roughly the same amount of prep time.
I’ve not got mine yet! It’s automatic though right? Others still waiting?Just got the WBD high potential assessment - it looks like amberjack UGHHH
Could be as simple as picking 90 people and randomising their slots to three separate weeksThat's logical, just making me feel anxious since I did my WG Wednesday morning and saw someone else did the WG the same day and received an AC. But it's not a rejection yet...
I suspect there won't be another direct TC window, at least this year, due to their new Winter Vacation SchemeDoes anyone know when the next window for Freshfields TC application is? Would it be June?
You have no idea how much reading that relieved me😭 I have built my resilience so much this cycle but this has been the most intense week!Could be as simple as picking 90 people and randomising their slots to three separate weeks
I imagine they're probably sending them in batches, as there weren't any application questions. I can't imagine there was anything for them to assess in the app.I’ve not got mine yet! It’s automatic though right? Others still waiting?
they interview around 90, for the TCs like that high of a number?Could be as simple as picking 90 people and randomising their slots to three separate weeks
It was just a random number hahahthey interview around 90, for the TCs like that high of a number?
Thanks! Just got it. 😅I imagine they're probably sending them in batches, as there weren't any application questions. I can't imagine there was anything for them to assess in the app.
I can confirm there wouldn’t be another direct TC window this year. I emailed grad rec last year about this.I suspect there won't be another direct TC window, at least this year, due to their new Winter Vacation Scheme
Honestly, I've referred to work experience from almost 10 years ago as what 'spurred my interest in the law' and it hasn't stopped me from progressing. As long as you can write a plausible narrative around your debating experience and what more you've done to explore the interest, you should be fine.in an application is it fine to say that you want to become a solicitor by mentioning how you enjoyed debating in secondary school? even if secondary school was a while ago (as Im a postgrad) it would just be the opening sentence and then the rest of the answer wouldnt go into any more detail about it
Ffs I was relying on this… oh wellI can confirm there wouldn’t be another direct TC window this year. I emailed grad rec last year about this.
I think it definitely is but be careful with how you explain it because it needs to be clearly linked to the work a solicitor does as debating links to a barrister’s role as well and you need to demonstrate you know what a solicitor does.in an application is it fine to say that you want to become a solicitor by mentioning how you enjoyed debating in secondary school? even if secondary school was a while ago (as Im a postgrad) it would just be the opening sentence and then the rest of the answer wouldnt go into any more detail about it
