For questions about achievements that I am most proud of, would it be ok to talk about something that happened 7 years ago (but is the most significant achievement I have acquired to date), or would it be better to talk about something more recent but less significant/impressive?

Generally do something in the last 3ish years is what I've been told at open days and events. That being said, I've never written the actual year when talking about this stuff so theoretically it could be from whenever. Furthermore, if the achievement is truly outstanding then I feel like it doesn't really matter if you were a bit younger when you did it as it's still a testament to you as a person, depending on how much you were personally involved (as opposed to something you were forced to do/lots of people did).

To add to this, they'll be holding vacation scheme ACs in the next few weeks, so they might postpone this until late February
Tbh these are for direct TC’s, and so I would imagine they would want give out AC’s around April/ May and give decisions by June etc, i.e., closer to when the law school year begins ( I think would be September/ October).

Btw I’m probably wrong with this line of thinking, but this does make sense to me, seeing as we will not be doing a VS.

Yeah I don't think this is right, I've seen direct TC offers from Freshfields by March

Tbh this is my first cycle applying for firms, so I don’t really know the timeline for decisions.

I was giving out a theory that could make sense according to timelines, considering TC’s usually start 2 years after.

Evidently i’m wrong 😂

Has anyone who has applied to Brown Rudnick not gotten a confirmation email?

I also did not get a confirmation email from Winston & Strawn, not sure what's going on with these american firms. A little automatic email receipt would've been appreciated for peace of mind.
Did not receive a confirmation for Brown Rudnick, I presume its the ViDesktop platform that they use. Perhaps Winston uses the same?
