    Hill Dickinson 2020/2021

I'm in my final year studying law. I'm a 31 year old career changer though, so reapplying this year really wasn't ideal for me either.

If it helps, I was unsuccessful after the interview last year. I went away and worked on the little things that held me back to make myself a stronger candidate this year. It might not seem like it but trust me when I say that I grafted for these offers. 😅

Happy birthday! And good luck. I think they're probably sending by office though so I wouldn't stress about it.

The Watson Glaser thing is standard - I've had other VS offers say the same thing. I think they retest every now and then just to make sure that people didn't cheat? Not sure how often they actually do retest though!

Just had an offer for Liverpool too! Really conflicting because it's the same week as my other top choice firm 😥

HD scheme offer for Liverpool! It clashes with another one of my offers though so now I need to sit down and have a think...

    BBC Solicitor Apprenticeship

Just had a quick look and this is what they say on the "Level 7 Graduate Legal Apprenticeship" page: "Applicants also need to be able to demonstrate knowledge of and a commitment to the BBC and an understanding of the many areas of law, both editorial and commercial, that we deal with on an...

I don't have experience with W&C but have done quite a few group exercise this year. They tend to give you a task along with a scenario and/or a document with a load of facts and figures. You get some time to look through them independently. Then you're given a period of time to discuss within...

    2020-21 Vacation Scheme Applications Discussion

Is this for Pinsent Masons, by any chance? I hated that question - it's especially tough at the moment, given that most of us haven't really gotten to do much of anything in the past year due to Covid. I used being the ULaw campus representative & being recognised with two awards as my example...

I doubt very much that would work against you. I think they're just REALLY busy right now. Those of us who applied to Liverpool have also been waiting almost a month post-written task.

I think you could apply to the open day when you applied for the vac scheme. But I think I chose not to because there was an additional question (s). Check your submitted application on apply4law if you aren't sure?

    2020-21 Vacation Scheme Applications Discussion

Well I did have two offers which clashed. They were both firms in my top three, so it was a difficult decision. I just made a judgement call based on which firm I felt was the best fit for me, and vice versa. The firm I declined actually called me and offered me an alternative date though, so it...

Contact the firms and find out if they can be flexible. I rejected one of my offers because the date they gave for the office I applied to clashed with another scheme I had already accepted. They called me and asked me if I'd be interested in doing another date. So I would definitely recommend...

By question 3, do you mean 'what are our USPs'? In my answer, I predominately talked about the firm's approach to service delivery and how this benefits AG's clients. So it might be a good idea for you to do some research on what kind of services AG offers and how this compares to what its...
