Does anyone know if Mayer Brown automatically invites everyone who applied to do their Situational Strengths and Verbal Reasoning tests, or do they discriminate? I can't tell from their email invite or their website.

I dont know how relevant this is (as application processes may change year-on-year) but last year I applied 5 minutes before the deadline for Weil on the 15th and got the VI in mid January.

So don't be disheartened for any of you who haven't heard back yet

An applications webinar I went to that was attended by Weil Early Careers said that competency and motivational questions come up at both the VI and the face-to-face stage. From what I remember the general tips they gave was to have clear examples for competency questions, structure well (i.e., STARR) and don't talk about "we" in team examples - talk about what you did within the team.

Pretty general/standard advice basically but hope that helps nonetheless!

can be between 5-15 days depending on how busy their grad rec is - i asked similar question and got that response

do not worry if you receive no response in 3 days - the application window shuts on the 20th so the amount of applications will be steadily ticking up over the week

Last few years they have cancelled their Vac scheme and offered direct tcs
