Congratulations ! when did you hear back from debevoise? Was it an email?Travers Smith PFO, Debevoise vac scheme offer 🕺🏽
I think AS normally only get back to people that are successful in moving to the next stage of the process. After a while they send out the automated PFO’s to everyone else.
For example, I applied to the AstraZeneca and Covington AS Mentoring Scheme. A lot of people on this forum hadn’t heard back at all but they’d progressed me and others to the VI stage.
If their email said they’d get back to people by the 7th of March, I imagine they’ve already emailed the people moving forward. Perhaps you could send them an email to confir
Yeah makes sense. Its just confusing sometimesI think AS normally only get back to people that are successful in moving to the next stage of the process. After a while they send out the automated PFO’s to everyone else.

I think it would be and you definitely are not expected to have any direct experience working in the PE industry. Getting PE roles is notoriously difficult even for the people that have spent some time in IB roles at top bulge bracket banks like Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan. Getting internships at PE firms straight out of university is another level of competition - one can only realistically succeed if they are already commited to working in finance rather than law.@Andrei Radu How would you go about explaining an interest in private equity firms at the interview stage if you don't have any direct experience? would just highlighting some similarities between other experiences and PE be fine?
It was an email todayCongratulations ! when did you hear back from debevoise? Was it an email?
Which AC did you go to? Must be PFO for me but trying to still hold out hope..It was an email today
It can be anything from the same day or the next week. How long have you been waiting? When a firm calls with an offer for a VS, roughly how long after would they send email confirmation?

Next couple of weeks is code for next month🤣For anyone that's waiting for an update from CRS:
I've emailed CRS and they've said to me they're currently prioritising reviewing Guildford applications at the moment as the scheme is happening before the London Placement. London Placement candidates can expect an answer in, "the next couple of weeks".
Well I got a London CRS PFO today so I feel special.Next couple of weeks is code for next month🤣

I just found a TC offer in my junk!!! I applied for the Paul, Weiss VS but they liked me so much I got a TC. I do a physics degree so any non-law applicants do not worry, I think it was my commercial awareness that did it![]()
