I personally would mention competing firms or firms of similar or greater prestige, and would avoid in particular implying that you've applied to 100 firms.
If I get asked how my applications have progressed, do you think there's no point saying I have any other ACs then because they are very different firms? And just say that I am waiting to hear back from those firms that are similar? I haven't actually applied to that many firms (around 20-25 mark) but I could see how that would be implied!

Does anyone know when Withers are done with conducting their summer VS interviews? I want to know whether to assume a PFO
I have one next week so interviews are still ongoing. I got the invite a couple weeks ago and I booked one of the last slots available to me. I'd say its unlikely if you haven't heard yet, but they do send out PFOs so its worth keeping your fingers crossed!

Hi @Andrei Radu ,

I hope you're doing well.

I'm reaching out as I will soon be taking part in the partner interview at Willkie Farr & Gallagher, which is the final stage of the Vacation Scheme application process. Shahana suggested I contact you since you've previously completed this interview.

With that in mind, I was hoping you might be able to offer some suggestions, tips, or guidance on how best to prepare and perform in the partner interview.

The email I received mentions "motivational questions (both personal and commercial)." I would greatly appreciate it if you could clarify what is meant by commercial motivational questions.

Thank you so much in advance. I look forward to hearing from you and would really value any advice you can share.

Best wishes,
Adrian

hi! I was wondering if there are any free resources where I can practice doing case studies? cant rly afford the tcla premium rn and would appreciate any guidance
hi, they're not really case studies but what i find really helps for ACs and is free is going on studocu and accessing previous SQE notes. especially as an undergrad who is unfamiliar with a lot of commercial legal jargon i find it quite helpful and i'm pretty sure it's the main reason i got a vac scheme last year. a lot of them are much more detailed than you need but they can be quite helpful e.g some spell out what specific things to look for during due diligence, the importance of warranties and indemnities and the benefits and drawbacks of debt and equity financing- all hot topics for a lot of ACs. it's free but you need to upload some of your own notes to access others.

Hi! Anyone who has heard from Linklaters so far - did you apply for the Spring or Summer scheme?

I applied for the Winter Vacation scheme and got rejected from it, but graduate recruitment emailed me at the time and asked if I wanted to transfer my application to the Spring / Summer scheme as they thought my application was strong.

Just wondering if there is still any hope for the Summer Scheme (as I've seen most PFOs have been for Spring), or whether a PFO is inevitable 😢 It has been so long since I applied that I've forgotten the contents of my application lol
literally in the exact position 😅 I'm assuming pfo since I saw someone say Links' last set of ACs are running next week :(
Heya, I'm also still waiting for a reply from Links. I think the person who mentioned that the last set of ACs didn't mention whether they were referring to summer or spring. From my understanding, some of the PFOs sent out this week were definitely for spring - i'm not sure whether many have been sent for summer yet... Whilst i can't guarantee that there will be more invites, I think that it might not necessarily be the end of the road :)
All the best for the week ahead 🍀

anyone ever had an application succeed where it was lowkey riddled with typos (okay I've spotted 3 where there's just an extra word or a fullstop missing due to lots of editing)
Yes including to the vac scheme. This year one reached telephone interview. Some were easy mistakes to make. Other mistakes not so excusable though.
