I haven’t heard back from either yet. I have seen people with PFO from Paul, Weiss so just anxiously waiting for mine. 🥲🥲

As for Ropes & Gray, based on last year's forum, they didn’t get back to people until a week before the first AC date. I doubt we will hear back until at least Wed 27th January tbh.​
27th Feb you mean😂 waiting on ropes and gray too!!

I simply wouldn't expand more fully on my answer whilst processes are ongoing but gave another example than the one they suggested.

Calling someone mad rude and condescending because they explain why an interview question is a valid one is possibly the more rude response.

If you look at my past posting you will see I have been helpful and also have helped a number of people who DM. Fortunately now I will knkw there are some I should decline from helping.

It wouldn't just be within employment law though would it? For example it may impact tendering processes as one example. Lawyers need to think more holistically and be able to spot issues they may need to refer to colleagues in other practice areas internally.

Both of these comments came across as very rude and condescending. There is no need for it imo. 🤨​

Damn the waiting is painful 😒 just roast me or accept me, my emotional reaction will be the same at this point

    Hi hope you’re well, is 4 weeks post AC with no outcome excessive?

    Normally I don’t think about it and get on with other things but I’ve had another VS offer which would clash with this firms VS dates if I were to be successful.

    I have called and emailed and the firm has ignored every form of communication. I had a deadline of acceptance for the other firm any they were unable to accommodate an extension as other applicants were waiting to hear back.

    (They’re known to give rejections if you chase for an update)

    The firm stated if we had another offer to make them aware but they’ve ghosted me. 👻😂​
    Obviously I’m not Jessica and she may have a different opinion due to her years of experience, but from a candidate perspective, do you really want to hold onto a firm who doesn’t value your time by leaving you hanging for so long and ignores your correspondence?
    I would see that as a firm who doesn’t really care about the talent it attracts which may speak some volumes about their company culture. After an AC they should tell you if they expect to take a long time due to the amount of applications, how busy they are, etc, but to go without any communication doesn’t sit right with me as a candidate.

    Maybe the first with hindsight could come across as rude but it wasn't meant to be. I was actually trying to joke that even as a non law student I can see the relevance.

    The second definitely not. It isn't just an employment issue. Hence the comment framed as a question. This is same type of thing as when you consider all sorts of commercial issues and processes. It has much more off a crossover in the same way as AI, CSR, ESG does these days which led on to my comment about wider commercial awareness which is what firms are looking for.

    I apologise if the original poster took it that way. It wasn't meant that way and did not warrant in any way the comments piled on me after. It is a shame a few people piled on without taking the time to think through what was being said.

    How'd you find their test?
    Think it went ok, it was just basic SJT and a small section consisting of Watson Glaser ques - can’t really judge these sjt’s feedback reports much because one might think they did really well and the firm might think it wasn’t up to the mark or vice versa😢

    My strengths were - open communicator and growth mindset
    Weakness was personal responsibility (think I focused too much on collaboration or teamwork)

    Did you apply for the discover scheme too?

    It takes exactly one week to get a feedback report after you do the test ( it’s mentioned in their assessment invite email too)! If it’s been a week and you haven’t received one, I suggest you email grad rec to check this and also check on the all hires portal if you 100% submitted the test :)

    Ahh ok I think i did the test on the last day which was the 8th or 9th
