How confident are you in your knowledge of the core LLB/PGDL subjects, including Contract, Tort, Trusts, Land, Criminal, and Public Law?
TCLA is teaming up with BPP for a free interactive event designed to refresh your fundamentals, especially for those interested in or planning to take the SQE. We'll practise multiple choice SQE questions, with prizes for the highest scoring participants!
Register HereThanks that's really helpful. I think it's fair not to send out the last-minute application since they are rolling. Would definitely apply earlier next year 😭To be honest this is tricky because BCLP’s application for SVS has 4 x 500 word long answer questions (2,000 words overall). 🥲
If you feel that you can write a strong written application I would go for it but with the short time frame left it will definitely take superhero abilities. 🥲
The deadline is the 17th of Jan and BCLP recruits on a rolling basis. I think it’s definitely possible to still apply but it will be a challenge. Best of luck!! 🫡
Hi, when did you apply and complete the test?Macfarlenes AC! Any insights would be much appreciated!
I would schedule when you best feel ready.for ACs is it best to schedule as early as possible? have never done one before so would appreciate more time to prepare but does this worsen my chances or do they decide after seeing all applicants?
If you are eligible you can apply for their direct TC which is open until March or May this year. Thanks that's really helpful. I think it's fair not to send out the last-minute application since they are rolling. Would definitely apply earlier next year 😭
I applied in September but it’s also for their TC so I have no idea…Does anyone know when we will hear back from Irwin Mitchell?
I applied for the TC too close to deadline given they were non-rolling but there hasn't been any update yet. I think I heard about some people on this forum getting ACs but I may be hallucinating lolI applied in September but it’s also for their TC so I have no idea…

That's very helpful, thanks so much!!They really like applicants that make sure everyone in their group is heard, so if someone is a little quieter, ask them their thoughts
Don’t be nervous to ask for some time (a quick break) to discuss with your teams if the negotiation seems to be ramping up
Make sure to be one of the people keeping an eye on time and loudly stating this; “5 minutes left…”
Ensure that you come to an agreement/settlement THAT is the most important thing than your group being the “winner”
Good luck!
