Interesting question @Jessica Booker- I had the same question when I was attending a in person AC. Especially nose piercings, are they not appropriate?

I’d go with a very small and subtle stud or remove it.

Hi, @Jessica Booker I am currently feeling super unwell. I unfortunately struggle with anxiety and had a personal incident that happened over the weekend spark an anxiety crisis which I am still in, however I’ve been invited to take a wg within the next few days, i have a doctors appointment tomorrow to discuss it in length, is there any chance I can contact graduate recruitment and ask for an extra day to compose myself or should I just get on with it?

You can ask for an additional day due to illness but be prepared for the firm to say they unfortunately cannot offer an extension.

Also be prepared for the firm to not reply to you before your deadline.

@Jessica Booker @Andrei Radu i have a virtual insight evening tomorrow. I’m not sure what to expect as there’s no schedule or agenda sent through to me. Other than a list of questions about the firm is there anything you advise that I prepare for?

Nothing else to prepare really as it sounds like you have done your research into the firm already. Just be prepared to take notes and contribute to any discussions.

You can just email them and ask. They were very prompt with getting back to me

Freshfields is non-rolling so I don’t see why it wouldn’t be worth still applying. 🙂👍🏽

The deadline is 23rd of January. That’s 9 days away. If you can write a strong application in that time frame I’d say go for it!! 🫡🫡

It seems like Kirkland have already given out their AC invites from what im seeing on this thread. Such a shame because i attended their open day and did their VI. Oh well....

I completed their VI only a week ago so think they are still processing applications. Someone I know who did a VI a week prior to me only got their AC invite yesterday so keep your hopes up! Praying for both of us!

Ffs. I was good at that test on my first cycle, but this cycle I’ve been not doing as well. Looks like I’ll need to bite the bullet and buy the JobTestPrep kit or something.

Does anyone else have any WG prep websites they use? I’ve already used the Clifford Chance free test quite a few times. I’m scoring 80%+ in those but was only in the 32nd percentile when I did the Linklaters test.

Around 1 week to finish my first draft then couple days to make adjustments when someone reviews it
