Has anyone done the Osborne Clarke test for their summer vc? If you have, about how many questions were there and how hard was it?
I’m sorry this happened - but you shouldn’t give up or be too hard on yourself. It’s difficult to even get to this step so be proud of that. Sometimes it just comes down to luck more than anything else.DLA post AC rejection🥲 I don’t even know what to feel 🧍🏾♂️
In my experience grad rec is usually chill about this, they'll likely just change your selection of schemesI cannot believe that I've done this, and put it down to lack of sleep and too many things going on at once, but I have just applied to a scheme that I am not eligible for instead of the one that I am. I even knew this, I just got mixed up between firms I have been looking at. I have emailed grad rec but I suspect all those hours and days into that application have been for nothing. This is a reminder to everyone to double check they are applying to the correct thing. 😭
Thanks a lot!! Yh I’ll just distract myself haha. And I still have other applications that I haven’t heard back from anyways.Keep your head up ! The fact that you made it to the AC means that you have more than enough potential ( as they are SO competitive) . Honestly I’ve been there ( trust me ) and it’s best to firstly , try and do something to keep your mind off it , something that makes you happy . And secondly don’t let it stop you from either applying again next application cycle or put you off law altogether. Your vacation scheme and Training contract will eventually come! Have hope 😊
Yh I’ll be scheduling a feedback call so that should be helpful for next time!I’m sorry this happened - but you shouldn’t give up or be too hard on yourself. It’s difficult to even get to this step so be proud of that. Sometimes it just comes down to luck more than anything else.
Do they give any feedback on what you can work on or improve?
Thanks, I really hope you’re right 🙏In my experience grad rec is usually chill about this, they'll likely just change your selection of schemes
It means they're at capacity. Try to avoid assumptions or speculations like thatIf a firm rejects you due to being at capacity does that mean they did not consider your application in the first place?
Hey, just wondering if anyone can help with clarifying pleaseeeee.I’ve come across this question and would like some clarification please - If you could work with any client as a lawyer at Lewis Silkin (even if they are not currently a client of ours), who would it be and why?
Is the best way to approach this question will be identify an individual/organisation that can properly utilise Lewis silkin services so essentially Lewis silkin would be a one-stop-shop for the client? Would I also need to mention whether or not the client resonates with Lewis Silkin values?
If I want to choose a celebrity for instance and they own a brand - do I mention the celebrity as a client or their brand.
E.G - Krept (musician) he owns Nalas Baby - do I chose Krept as my client or Nalas Baby?
I could be overthinking this simple question.
@Jessica Booker
I just want to say that this is super impressive! The sheer amount of applications and your dedication to applications is amazing. Do you have a particular method to make the process of applying smooth/easy-ish?Holding myself accountable again (Covington rejection)
