I logged into my portal for NRF and saw 'No Longer Under Consideration'. However, I haven't received a rejection email ?
@Jessica Booker Any insight on this please ?

Hiya @LiveLaughLawyer

@Jessica Booker would definitely have more insight on this, but it might be worth reaching out to graduate recruitment for clarification. You could send them a quick email asking if they can confirm your application status. I’ve not come across that specific portal update before, so I can understand why it might be a bit confusing. Hopefully, you’ll get some clarity soon.

I would contact the firm to get clarity on this as I don't know the specifics, but it sounds like you may not have completed a necessary stage and they have withdrawn your application.

I would say 2 bullet points would only be appropriate for short roles (those less than 2 weeks) or roles with very basic responsibilities. Generally, somewhere between 3-8 bullet points is appropriate subject to the nature of the role, how complex it was, how long you did it for, and what you achieved within the role.
Really helpful, thank you for sharing that

@Ram Sabaratnam @Amma Usman
when law firms ask "why the firm" questions in interviews, is it alright to say the same thing you have written in your application form or make it different and consider new reasons?

Hiya @suhana

I completely agree with response by @Amma Usman , particularly her point about potentially being pressed on your application answer during your interview. One additional point to consider is that firms and industries are constantly evolving. Between submitting your application and attending the interview, there may have been key developments (e.g. new deals, strategic hires, or practice area expansions) that you might incorporate to demonstrate that your reasons for joining the firm have been strengthened. Overall, I think it's always worth revisiting your original application answer and asking yourself whether anything has changed, or whether you've any new insights that could make my response stronger. Best of luck with the interview!
