Hi @Andrei Radu, @Jaysen and all,

I recently completed two pre-recorded video interviews with US firms but I am pretty certain that I haven't made it through to the next round because ACs are being held / have been held this week. I was wondering if you could provide any insights as to whether a reapplication would be allowed (and if so are you at a disadvantage) if you have reached the VI stage previously. Just to bear in mind these were the first VIs I had ever done so I don't think I was prepared for them well enough.

Finally, are there ways you suggest to improve at these before the next cycle?

Hi guys, I wanted to ask if I were to apply for a direct TC with freshfields, and was unsuccessful with my attempt, would that rule me out of applying for their winter vacation scheme programme? The applications for that programme open during the summer/fall I believe.

I don’t think it would because the winter VS is for next academic cycle 25/26. 🙂

During one of Freshfields’ events, the early careers team mentioned they were only opening once for DTC this cycle (hence they introduced the SJT) because for the next cycle they also had a winter VS. 🙂

I would email them for confirmation though as they may have specific rules about eligibility.

Finally got an email inviting me to do the CMS Watson glaser. Do we know if that’s selective or just late non-selective? I’m not sure how I do with Watson glaser; I had an email from CC saying I passed theirs (but then didn’t go through to the next round) - is that worth anything or more of a holding thing they say to people?

CMS' WG is selective. Re CC - it is not something they just say to people. All the best !

I think they recently rebranded and the name is now just Freshfields.

It’s no longer called Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, if that’s what you are referring to. 🙂

Are you waiting to hear back after an AC or VI? I passed the VI december 19th and still waiting to hear if I got shortlisted for the AC in edinburgh

i am personally waiting to hear back to see if i got to the VI stage for manchester - searched my emails in case i missed something but nothings turning up😭
