Hi @Jessica Booker, is it okay to just refer to Freshfields as Freshfields in the first instance in my personal statement or should I spell out the full name of the firm first and then abbreviate to Freshfields?

I think they recently rebranded and the name is now just Freshfields.

It’s no longer called Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, if that’s what you are referring to. 🙂​

Are you waiting to hear back after an AC or VI? I passed the VI december 19th and still waiting to hear if I got shortlisted for the AC in edinburgh

i am personally waiting to hear back to see if i got to the VI stage for manchester - searched my emails in case i missed something but nothings turning up😭

Also is it worth applying to Freshfields if I have a mid 2:1? (I have two modules with high 2:2s from first and second year, and I am currently in my final year)

lol at freshfields' grad workshop literally a month ago they told us the application process is a simple personal statement - watson glaser - assessment centre process and I come on here to find they've randomly introduced the worst form of automated test where your application won't even get read if you don't pass. freshfields has always been one of my fave firms but this just sucks tbh.

What??? I didn’t know this. I submitted my app on the 9th and haven’t received any automated test. Haven’t even received a WG
