I guess it makes the PFOs easier to bear. 2000 applications for Mills & Reeves is insane though. I'd have expected that for a MC/SC firm not a national firm.
I think they had so many applications because their process was just the application form with grades and personal info, then the test. No long written answers. And yeah I see where you’re coming from, but all I can think is that if there’s 2000 this cycle, there’ll maybe be 3000, 4000 next year etc, just gets harder.

That makes sense RE: Mills & Reeves - with how easy it is to submit.

Hey guys is there any points applying for BCLP SVS now?
To be honest this is tricky because BCLP’s application for SVS has 4 x 500 word long answer questions (2,000 words overall). 🥲

If you feel that you can write a strong written application I would go for it but with the short time frame left it will definitely take superhero abilities. 🥲

The deadline is the 17th of Jan and BCLP recruits on a rolling basis. I think it’s definitely possible to still apply but it will be a challenge. Best of luck!! 🫡

I also read that they said they would likely disregard applications on the deadline day. I think because they think it’s a last attempt and you don’t care for the firm maybe… I won’t apply for this reason

It is definitely risky for sure. 💯

I would never want to discourage anyone from applying to any firm but BCLP is a tricky one. 🥲

I have seen people already getting AC offers for the SVS from a few weeks ago.

I guess it comes down to how fast someone can write a good quality application. 🙂
