Hi there, this is quite random, and I am new to the forum. I was wondering if anyone can assist me. I have for applied the Linklaters VS and completed the online assessment as well as the Watson Glaser test. I have recently received an email from their trainee recruitment team inviting me to apply for their Discover Linklaters event. What does that mean for the prospects of my application?

Hi, I think the email is generic and from their mailing list
it has an option to unsubscribe at the top - I don’t think it is anything to do with applications!
I don't think it means anything for your application—you are likely on one of their mailing lists, e.g., from their Forage scheme or previous events.

Got Macfarlanes SJT report back: Strengths were adaptability, explainer, and analysis. Lowest was learning agility. Do not know what to make out of this lol
I find that 90 seconds is only enough for me to go into detail for max two points.
The Goodwin VI consists of five questions for which you have 30 seconds of prep time and 90 seconds of recording time. There are three competency questions: Tell me a time..., 1 commercial awareness, and 1 motivational- e.g. Why the firm etc. This is all I'm sharing on it. Good luck!

Also how long does it take to get a response for your VS application? I applied for a couple firms, such as Linklaters and Latham & Watkins etc, and their deadlines have passed.
As they have about 3000 applications it is a case of just waiting I'm afraid

Thank you very much for your response. (This is my first time applying for these firms, and it has been quite an experience so far).
My highest and lowest strengths were almost identical to yours except one of my highest was credibility.
I’m also not entirely sure what it means either.

I don't know if anyone has shared but please could u provide any information about the simmons online test? 🙃🙃
