Can anyone who has done the Mishcon video interview give me any indication of whether they ask why are you interested in Mishcon during the vi? Honestly im at the point of this recruitment cycle where I just dont have time and energy for masses of prep anymore 😂
Were you asked that question or was it competency based questions in addition to any commercial questions? Did anything throw you off guard?

Can’t believe I’m finally saying this.. I just got off the phone with GR and after four cycles, I’ve finally got myself a training contract with a great international firm!

I cannot tell you how many times I have cried and wallowed in how disappointed I have been through all the rejections. I had been rejected at every stage in the process and each time it hurt more than the first. I felt demotivated that some people got 4+ vacation schemes in their first year and I had no such luck. Truly it had nothing to do with my potential, it was a mixture of learning, a whole lot of luck and waiting for the right moment for you.
Very happy for you- well deserved! I hope we'll get to see you around in our Junior Lawyers Community now!! ☺️☺️☺️

They can exist. Ultimately you could be doing a vacation scheme with one firm one week on one side of the deal and then work for another firm the other side of the same deal the next week.

Many law firms will generally ask you to complete some form of conflicts check.

For those that don't, you would be expected to highlight anything you thought might be a conflict (it's better to highlight it and to be told not to worry about it, rather than not!).

Hundreds of people do multiple schemes each year though, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.
How easily are conflicts resolved if they arise?

Hi all! I wanted to ask if you've been rejected post AC for a firm is it likely that the same firm will invite you for an AC in the next application cycle?
Hi, I was rejected post AC last cycle and secured a vac scheme with the same firm this cycle. Some firms have restrictions on inviting you back for interview so it's good to check the website's FAQs which normally state this :)

Try and make sure to get feedback for your AC, I was lucky to have a really helpful feedback call after mine and focussed on those points and built on my prep from before. Also I feel like each cycle you gain knowledge and confidence which also helps!

I was rejected from Freshfields post WG last year and got a direct TC this year. Best thing to do is check with the firm. For example, I believe that Jones Day doesn’t allow people to reapply.
