A Massive congratulations, this is amazing and you deserve it all! Be extremely proud of yourself! @NoodlesMacfarlanes TC!!
Got the call after completing the LPC and not completing a single vac scheme.
It just takes the one!
Good luck to everyone, it's a long haul but it can pay off!
Can I ask did you prompt them for this?Edit: just got a PFO!
Same here - I think we should ask them? Can I ask did you prompt them for this?
I am still waiting. A little frustrating as I would like to know if I should start applying for the winter vac scheme.
I got a response last week saying they will update us end of September so I guess by end of next week.Same here - I think we should ask them?
If we receive a PFO (I hope not), can we apply to WVS?I got a response last week saying they will update us end of September so I guess by end of next week.
Would like to know this too but I think so - it is technically the next cycle. Direct TCs for this cycle would open up at beginning of 2024 is my understanding. If we receive a PFO (I hope not), can we apply to WVS?
No idea, best to ask grad recIf we receive a PFO (I hope not), can we apply to WVS?
No, didn’t email them for an update !Can I ask did you prompt them for this?

Definitely bullet pointsFor the Slaughter & May CV, do they prefer bullet points or writing in prose?
Thanks!Definitely bullet points
It’s not necessarily pronouns that are the issue - you just can avoid “I”, “me” and “my” in writing. Thanks!
& removal of all pronouns I'm guessing?
My current CV reads like this 'Produced annual accounts/tax returns, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy in reporting', are short and snappy task descriptions like this enough? Obviously, there are multiple for each role.
Not Jessica, but my general advice is will they remember you? If its a quick message maybe not but if you arranged a call then its probably okay to include if you want, although I would generally get consent first.Hello @Jessica Booker , in an application, is name dropping the name of a trainee better than writing "upon talking to various trainees on LinkedIn, I learned that..."
Thanks in advance.
It depends on the context here - have you learnt from multiple trainees (if so you can go with the latter)? or if it is just off the basis of one trainee, then naming them is okay.Hello @Jessica Booker , in an application, is name dropping the name of a trainee better than writing "upon talking to various trainees on LinkedIn, I learned that..."
