Hey Guest, do you have a question for graduate recruitment? Gemma Baker from Willkie is live to answer your questions!
LITERALLY me though 😭Just doing the hourly advanced search for the names of every firm I have applied to and setting the date for the last 24 hours, dont mind me
Has anyone heard from Linklaters? Do they call or email? I'm an international student, so I'm scared that they'd call my UK number which is not currently in use
I don't think they've opened apps or recruited for several years now, following the erm, failed A&O mergerDoes anyone know whether O'Melveny and Myers is recruiting trainees this year? Their website is not clear on this and seems to just say that last year's apps have closed
I live in Battersea, near Clapham Junction and pay £600 a month in rent. Sometimes you've got to look at different sites and flat sharesI can second this, I pay £800 a month and I got off cheap compared to a lot of my friends at uni...
Literally me.Os 🙂 borne🙂 clarke 🙂
Sounds like securing a TC is not even the hardest part of becoming a city lawyer! 🤣Rental market is really up and down in London at the moment. Rental on my place has probably gone down by around 20% and that’s not unique to my area. But it can still be a tricky market. In the peak of lock down my neighbour had 16 people offer to rent on his place, so you can make a lot of offers and not necessarily secure the place just because of the competition. Having a good renters profile can often give you a strong advantage.
Feel free to PM me or ping me on Basecamp.
They called me first, then emailed me later to confirm the details. Although, I am not sure if it has been the same for others? For those who heard back from Travers, do they call or email you?
Thank you so much and congrats
Of course you can find areas further out of central/single vs double rooms/quality etc but I was just giving an average price from my own experience of flat hunting in zone 1/2I live in Battersea, near Clapham Junction and pay £600 a month in rent. I am! When did you apply?Anyone else who was exempt from the GBA for TW still waiting to hear back?
Purposely designed that way!Did anyone else find the Freshfields written exercise quite tight for time? 😬
Agreed friend! I was looking for the best of both worlds with my flat hunt so south London seemed like a good location for meOf course you can find areas further out of central/single vs double rooms/quality etc but I was just giving an average price from my own experience of flat hunting in zone 1/2
Do you know how written exercises are used in the decision-making process? Is it a benchmark candidates have to meet or is it looked at holistically?Purposely designed that way!
