I just found a TC offer in my junk!!! I applied for the Paul, Weiss VS but they liked me so much I got a TC. I do a physics degree so any non-law applicants do not worry, I think it was my commercial awareness that did it :)
This is literally the stuff our dreams are made of - congrats!!! 🥳🥳

Wow cant believe that a firm that has never had a trainee cohort intake before has suddenly given out a TC straight away. I myself have a VS offer at PW and know someone else who does too

it was via call - the offer has yet to come into my inbox. They mentioned that they will email soon.
I'm surprised that OP already got an email regarding their TC. My friend also got a call but no email yet
Same here! Received an offer this morning via call, no email yet but was told the same.

Fingers crossed for everyone else 🥹

For anyone that's waiting for an update from CRS:
I've emailed CRS and they've said to me they're currently prioritising reviewing Guildford applications at the moment as the scheme is happening before the London Placement. London Placement candidates can expect an answer in, "the next couple of weeks".
So they are still reviewing Guildford applications or have they made out all the offers already including the summer?

In the response I received, they said they're prioritising reviewing Guildford applications as the Spring Placement starts on March 31 compared to London which starts April 7, which would mean they're still reviewing Guildford apps. Makes me think they're trying to finalise offers and rejections for that office first. In fact, I think someone mentioned today that they received a rejection for the Guildford office.

Someone else mentioned already getting a VS offer from CRS last week but was told to not say anything, but unsure if they mentioned which office.

I think AS normally only get back to people that are successful in moving to the next stage of the process. After a while they send out the automated PFO’s to everyone else.

For example, I applied to the AstraZeneca and Covington AS Mentoring Scheme. A lot of people on this forum hadn’t heard back at all but they’d progressed me and others to the VI stage.

If their email said they’d get back to people by the 7th of March, I imagine they’ve already emailed the people moving forward. Perhaps you could send them an email to confirm?
I emailed and they said they’ll be in contact within the next few weeks for an update. I’m quite surprised because they asked us on the application form if we’ll be available for a virtual interview between 10th - 20th March and one of their placements starts in April. Either the they’ve already picked the people for their April scheme and focusing on them now or it’s a pfo but I’m still hopeful!

(Context: waiting to hear back from an AC) I missed a call from a number this morning - I tried to call back and got a “the number you are calling is not recognised” - looked it up and discovered this means the number was spoofed/or was a one way call line. Do firms do this sort of thing when calling people or was it more likely to be a random scammer (I don’t usually get spam calls)? Not going to email the firm in case it wasn’t them.
