When a firm calls with an offer for a VS, roughly how long after would they send email confirmation?

For my VS it was two days, but I guess it depends on the size of the intake, and whether the firm is responding to all candidates in one go. So could obviously be longer.
Three first-stage PFOs so far today: Arnold & Porter, K&L Gates, and Brown Rudnick.
Also a second-stage SHL test from Devonshires. Annoying scheduling etc. task Only got to question 21 of 24.

For anyone that's waiting for an update from CRS:
I've emailed CRS and they've said to me they're currently prioritising reviewing Guildford applications at the moment as the scheme is happening before the London Placement. London Placement candidates can expect an answer in, "the next couple of weeks".

Out of curiosity, is anyone planning to apply for non-law related grad jobs/schemes alongside TCs/VSs in the next cycle, or has anybody this cycle?
As a non-law (STEM) student, I've heard it can be very difficult to get paralegal positions and other legal roles without having done the GDL. So while I'm absolutely manifesting a legal career, I am naturally thinking about what else I'd do after graduating. The way I see it my options are:
1) go broke and self fund the GDL,
2) pure gap year, keep working in hospitality (and try to get a paralegal position)
3) in final year apply for some other grad jobs and hopefully secure one.
I guess the main difficulty in 3 is that it makes vacation schemes much more difficult, and just going for interviews/ACs in general I suppose, and might make it seem like I'm not committed to law. But with 1 and 2 I'd just feel so much less secure, if that makes sense. Of course at this point it's all moot, and non-law grad jobs are hardly easy to get anyway! Just curious to see how others have approached the (potentially) unemployed graduate life.

I think AS normally only get back to people that are successful in moving to the next stage of the process. After a while they send out the automated PFO’s to everyone else.

If their email said they’d get back to people by the 7th of March, I imagine they’ve already emailed the people moving forward. Perhaps you could send them an email to confirm?

I think it would be and you definitely are not expected to have any direct experience working in the PE industry. Getting PE roles is notoriously difficult even for the people that have spent some time in IB roles at top bulge bracket banks like Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan. Getting internships at PE firms straight out of university is another level of competition - one can only realistically succeed if they are already commited to working in finance rather than law.
The way I used to go about justifying an interest in PE was by starting out with an interest in M&A. I would explain how working on transactions involving the selling and buying of companies is interesting to me because I liked learning all there is to know about different businesses and the industries they operate in; and how I enjoyed the process of negotiating deal terms (here, making a link to a negotiations competitions example or Forage Experience).
Finally, I would differentiate between M&A work done for corporate clients and PE clients, focusing on one or two features that make PE work more attractive. Examples include more streamlined deal processes, because PE clients are very experienced and sophisticated, and a greater variation of industries and sectors involved, as PE clients do not have the same business parameters limiting investments as corporate clients do.

It's such a hit and miss, I've done so well in past SJTs but sometimes it all goes so wrong, even though I don't feel like I particularly change my answers that much??
