When a firm calls with an offer for a VS, roughly how long after would they send email confirmation?
Congrats! When a firm calls with an offer for a VS, roughly how long after would they send email confirmation?
thank you so much!Congrats!
For my VS it was two days, but I guess it depends on the size of the intake, and whether the firm is responding to all candidates in one go. So could obviously be longer.
Really sorry for the pfo! when did you hear back from K&L Gates?Three first-stage PFOs so far today: Arnold & Porter, K&L Gates, and Brown Rudnick.
Also a second-stage SHL test from Devonshires. Annoying scheduling etc. task Only got to question 21 of 24.
Same love this for usAnother day of no firm getting back to me!!😍

Congratulations ! when did you hear back from debevoise? Was it an email?Travers Smith PFO, Debevoise vac scheme offer 🕺🏽
I think AS normally only get back to people that are successful in moving to the next stage of the process. After a while they send out the automated PFO’s to everyone else.
For example, I applied to the AstraZeneca and Covington AS Mentoring Scheme. A lot of people on this forum hadn’t heard back at all but they’d progressed me and others to the VI stage.
If their email said they’d get back to people by the 7th of March, I imagine they’ve already emailed the people moving forward. Perhaps you could send them an email to confir
Yeah makes sense. Its just confusing sometimesI think AS normally only get back to people that are successful in moving to the next stage of the process. After a while they send out the automated PFO’s to everyone else.

I think it would be and you definitely are not expected to have any direct experience working in the PE industry. Getting PE roles is notoriously difficult even for the people that have spent some time in IB roles at top bulge bracket banks like Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan. Getting internships at PE firms straight out of university is another level of competition - one can only realistically succeed if they are already commited to working in finance rather than law.@Andrei Radu How would you go about explaining an interest in private equity firms at the interview stage if you don't have any direct experience? would just highlighting some similarities between other experiences and PE be fine?
