I did the stupid thing of looking at my application after submitting it. I wrote furthermore at the start of two consecutive sentences. It just reads so odd. I hope that the rest of the application makes up for it but, it’s in the first question so they might just discard it before reading the rest. This is why NEVER edit on the actual application form. Off to go sit in the dark for an hour and contemplate my sad existence.
I have just read my application to Paul, Weiss.I forgot to delete a sort of note for myself to add in an example literally ''a sentence {example}'' and then I continued and somehow despite reading back through it 5 times I missed it - starting to think that the fact I have not heard back yet is because they saw it and full on ghosted me. so yes, never edit in the actual application form but hey at least they can see it is clearly not written by AI lol
@JessicaBooker Hi, I was wondering if you feel pro bono volunteering should be listed in work experience, positions of responsibility or extracurricular - thanksAny interests that don't require you to make a commitment to others. For instance, it could be hobbies that are very much from a self-interest point or activities that are solo pursuits or where the output is really only for your benefit rather than other people's.
Oh no! One thing I know for sure that they are strict about is spelling mistakes.I have just read my application to Paul, Weiss.
In at least 3 places, I forgot to put the , between Paul, Weiss. 😂🥲
In most parts (95%) I have included it.
I read through my application so many times to avoid this mistake and I still made it. 😂🥲
Hopefully they will let it slide or perhaps not and I’m cooked. 😞
So yes, I agree to never edit in the actual application form. 💀😭
At least they can rule out AI usage. 🫡
Same with me. Applied on the 9th Dec, and completed WGT on the 20th. Haven’t heard a peep since.Same here I applied around mid Dec and did the WGT just before xmas and haven’t heard anything since. 🤷🏾♂️
Honestly, don't worry at all. I am sure I have made at least 10 errors in my applications for which I got ACs with, and I even secured a Vac Scheme despite my jarring spelling errors. Just have faith in the rest of your application and what is meant for you will always come by! So don't worry and you got this for sureI know that why I’m worried.
Should I email them and ask if I can have my application back since the deadline is the 19th so they won’t have looked at them yet?
Then I can correct me rookie mistakes. 🫡😭
applied on the 9th Dec and completed WGT on 20th Dec.hi i’m still waiting for the assessment for VS. do you mind telling me when you submitted your app?
NoAnyone heard from Reed smith post VI?
might or might not help, but I run all my apps through chat gpt for a spelling, grammar + firm name spelt correctly check right before I send them in. I always say to make any corrections bold and include a summary of any changes at the end. You can pick and choose which changes you want to add into the application rather than copying it straight from chat gpt and then editing - avoids the american spelling and just silly things that it would do!I have just read my application to Paul, Weiss.

Idk how to feel… I thought it was going to be 40mins so the 30mins threw me off a little. Other than that I did the best I could but had no time to check my all my answers. How did you find it?How did it go?
Hopefully they’ll give out more!I haven’t even received the test invite oh no
I do this too!! So helpful! And “cut down to 300 words” lolmight or might not help, but I run all my apps through chat gpt for a spelling, grammar + firm name spelt correctly check right before I send them in. unnoticeable ai usage haha
Thanks that's really helpful. I think it's fair not to send out the last-minute application since they are rolling. Would definitely apply earlier next year 😭To be honest this is tricky because BCLP’s application for SVS has 4 x 500 word long answer questions (2,000 words overall). 🥲
If you feel that you can write a strong written application I would go for it but with the short time frame left it will definitely take superhero abilities. 🥲
The deadline is the 17th of Jan and BCLP recruits on a rolling basis. I think it’s definitely possible to still apply but it will be a challenge. Best of luck!! 🫡
