Sorry if this has been asked before but are there any resources regarding negotiation exercises at AC?

I’m trying to prepare for Eversheds’ internal meeting simulation and by the sounds of it, it’s most similar to a negotiation although I don’t know what to expect.

I am rubbish at negotiating so if anyone has any advice that would be very helpful. Thanks!

If it says the test is not timed then the amount of time you take bears no relevance at all. I don’t think they will even know how long you take either.🫡

They recommend at least 75 minutes so that people do not underestimate how long it will take to fully complete the test and review answers before submitting. 🙂

The test should take 75 minutes or more to complete basically. That’s why for these tests you never have to request extra time. 🙂

Part of the reason these tests are not timed is to ensure fairness for people who are neurodivergent. 🙂

I remember asking the early careers team at HSF about this at an event and this is what they said.
Thanks for this I was having a bit of a tantrum in my post, these applications have me spiralling 😂😂😂😂😂😂

SOS I have another (😭) British English/ American English question. Is it results-oriented or results-orientated? Checked Google and they said the latter for BE, but thought I'd double check after my draughting debacle (can you tell I'm not English 😂)

Thank you!!

If a firm has a mistake in a maths question on their test should I email and inform them? I can work out which wrong answer is ‘correct’ so will get the mark but feels like I should and also makes me not trust the other questions lol. I am 100% certain it’s a mistake, my background is in maths and it’s a black and white error. Don’t want to look like a dick though (especially considering I will have got it right) but might show attention to detail and also I feel bad that other people who are less comfortable with maths might be getting it marked as incorrect because they dont know?

Hi everyone, I have my first ever AC at RPC soon. It involves an interview, a written exercise and a business meeting exercise. Ive never done an AC before and I can only find minimal info about the two exercises. If anybody has any advice, tips or insight I would be so grateful because I'm quite nervous! Either general AC tips or specific to RPC! thank you thank you.

Has anyone requested reasonable adjustments for an online test ? (e.g. extra time)
If so, does it disadvantage you later down the line ?
e.g. You pass the online test but you are not progressed onto the next stage ?
I’ve only ever requested extra time on tests and am certain that doesn’t disadvantage you. So many people will request extra time and it’s so common that I bet firms won’t bat an eye at it. Think of all the people at your school who got extra time on exams (I didn’t at that point) and whether anyone would discount their results for that.
