Just received my Macfarlanes test report and I scored lowest in Analysis. Should I expect a direct rejection? Could anyone please share some ideas on preparing for the WGT? Thanks a lot.

It's wonderful that we all share our progress and good news here! 🥹 However, it would be even better if we could indicate which scheme we have applied for. Many of us have applied for summer schemes, and seeing updates from spring applicants progressing can make us anxious about receiving a "sorry for your outcome" (PFO) message when it could be that GR hasn't started reviewing summer applications. I apologise if I come off as a Debbie Downer; I just think this could help some of us feel less anxious. Thank you all! 🩷🩷

Has anyone heard from Macfarlanes yet? I scored lowest in credibility - don't know if anyone else also had this?
Did Macfarlanes test and got credibility, personal responsibility and adaptability as key strengths, and explainer as my lowest scoring which is interesting! Anyone get anything similar?

I have an AC coming up with a Magic Circle firm, and was wondering how I should go about be able to explain the difference between each firm? I have done research on the various departments they lead in and some other elements such as diversity initiatives, global strategies, etc, but was wondering if there was usually specific elements interviewers want to see?

explainer, credibility and adaptability with learning agility as the weakness ... not sure what to make of it
Credibility was my lowest, and I feel like thats a bad thing - pretty much everyone I've seen has had it in their top three!!

Very well done on getting the open day spot! Such a wonderful opportunity!
First of all, I would say to remain calm and inquisitive throughout the day. The open days I made the most out of where those that I had kept an open mind to learn something new, either through the planned sessions, or conversations with members of the firm. That said, also come prepared with any questions you have and be ready to ask away. There really is no such thing as a silly question at this stage. Another thing is to come dressed formally as you may end up applying for a VS or TC there and first impressions count. In any case where you do not end up applying, dressing formally contributes to your professional brand regardless. Furthermore, network with not just lawyers and GR, but also your open day peers too. Some of my closest friends were made through similar events.
Also try and get a reasonable amount of sleep the night before! Needless to say, but I’ve made that error a couple of times haha!

Has everyone heard back from Milbank ? I applied for the Summer Vacation Scheme for both the Lev Fin Track and the normal route. Most of the people I know have heard back positively from the firm. I was wondering if they might still be offering ACs or if it is a closed door.
I’m so EMBARASSED at Clyde and co virtual digital assessment- the last video question, I rushed. In fact all three were rushed as I was approaching midnight.
I think all my other responses were fine but what the hell.
Does anyone know if we get penalised if the last three video questions come across as verbal diarrhoea….. because that’s literally what mine was like. Has anyone rushed or incompleted their responses and still made it through 😭

I didn’t apply to Millbank but most responses I’ve seen are Spring ACs and they are happening next week. So summer probably will follow after.
STOP THATS WAS ME TOO 😭 The questions threw me off so much, like they were basic but worded so weirdly! And honestly I think PFO since previous experience with Irwin 😭
