I am finishing up on an application which has the final question: "Please provide any additional information to support your application." A simple question I know but since the application already includes a question on hobbies and interests, and another on "any awards, scholarships, leadership roles or other achievements that highlight strengths for this role", I am not entirely sure what to include here.

I was thinking of expanding upon my involvement in certain extra-curricular activities and university societies that I referred to in the more competency-focused questions that require specific scenarios or include other work experience that I have done (the application limits you to four work experience entries for the work experience section). Would be interested in any thoughts on how best to approach this @Amma Usman @Jessica Booker

Hogan Lovells WG invite!

Does anyone know if this is automatic or not? I don't meet their a-level requirements, so I'm hoping this means they're taking my mitigating circumstances into account and progressing me anyway.
No idea; personally, I think that it might be sort of automatic, as in they send them out to most people who have potential... When did you apply? I applied on the 5th of November and received the invite for the test on the 5th of December, exactly a month later... Again, never supported this sort of assessment anyway, because they truly miss out on so many amazingly talented people, who simply have not spent 24/7 trying to perfect their score for the WG... Has its pros and cons though ofc..

I'm also confused by whether it's automatic or not since there's been people who applied and never received it but then others who say it is automatic. Someone on this forum earlier said that it is the next stage after speaking to recruitment. Just search Jasmine Uppal on this thread. Make of this what you will ><

Has anyone who completed the Hogan Lovells Watson Glaser heard back yet? I did it a good few weeks ago and still have not heard anything. Same regarding Willkie VI. Many thanks!
I completed the HL WGT about a week ago and I haven’t heard anything although the deadline is the 3rd of Jan so maybe they’ll start making AC invite decisions after that.

I also did my Willkie VI last week and I think the waiting time is around 10-15 working days but since it is the xmas/nye period it might be that those who did their VI recently won’t hear back until mid Jan.

I’m slightly confused now because I submitted my application on the 17/12 and got my WGT on the 19/12 so it was pretty quick… Perhaps it is based on a simple screening initially and not a thorough application review and they only do that after the deadline and only after everyone has submitted their WGT?

Finished Reed Smith's VI and online test about 9 days back, just got an email today saying they will be in touch with an update soon. Also checking Reed Smith's application Q&A says they recruit on a rolling basis. Does this mean I got impliedly rejected? 😅
No - they are saying they haven’t made a decision yet, probably because they haven’t had the time to review applications yet.

It's not automatic. Applications are reviewed first. Hence the length of time between submission and receipt of WG invite.
