Many thanks!Absolutely. I did this for White & Case and got to interview so I think it's useful to break things up with headings. Lawyers will often skim read things because time is money (among other things) so accessible formats have a lot of currency.
Many thanks @Amma UsmanHi @Lastseasonwonder. I had used a combination of both prose and headings, as well as bullet-points in my application answers and got progressed onto the next stage. However, often times I found myself using prose. I would say regardless of which format you use, ensure you answer all arms of the question and don’t spin off on any tangents. Hope this helps, and feel free to drop any more questions if you have them
It will depend on what is said next as both could work depending on how/what you then describe.Could someone please confirm which wording is best to go for:
"I assisted a partner with" or "I assisted a partner in"
@Jessica Booker
It’s actually excruciating how long all these firms take to respond. Every other job and every other industry will respond after a week/ month maybe max. It’s a mix of too much competition and too much inefficiency tbhNo but I keep getting emails from them about applying for open days that I applied for weeks ago 😭 like please just respond, please just respond
To be fair, I've been waiting for roughly 3 months to hear back from Blackrock and 2 months to hear back from BNP Paribas post interview.It’s actually excruciating how long all these firms take to respond. Every other job and every other industry will respond after a week/ month maybe max. It’s a mix of too much competition and too much inefficiency tbh
well done! I got the sameAG direct TC app application critical thinking test but transfer the application to the VS and progressed to critical thinking stage. I can't write properly lol as its my first application good news for months.
+ gradesI'm slightly confused by the Linklaters vacation scheme process - they don't ask for work experience, so are they simply putting more emphasis on the Capp assessment and WG test?
"I assisted a partner with/in advising a client on X"It will depend on what is said next as both could work depending on how/what you then describe.
Both can work with that example - it’s not really going to matter which one you choose."I assisted a partner with/in advising a client on X"
Many thanks.Both can work with that example - it’s not really going to matter which one you choose.
Are you listing them on purpose by length of name or has that just happened randomly?Holding myself accountable (again).
