Have discovered that some US firms don't require the GDL for non-law graduates and instead put you on a "bespoke SQE prep course" in partnership with Barbri. Does anyone know what this entails, and whether you're at a disadvantage having not done the GDL?

Someone please offer some advice...

I was planning on applying for Burges Salmon's direct TC, however I am unsure whether it may be wiser to wait and apply for the vac scheme when it opens up in autumn.

I don't think I'd be able to apply for the upcoming vac schemes if I get rejected from this TC app... very confused and would very much appreciate literally any bit of advice

It could be any of those things unfortunately. It is not unknown for a full case study to be given and for a written output to be required.

I suspect they are doing it in a handwritten process to ensure there is no spell-check/AI/internet searching done - this is generally the only reason something would be handwritten these days.
Thank you, I've done a few AC's where you can use a laptop but it's just programmed to a word doc to avoid all the AI/googling concerns... guess that's just how this firm does it. My handwriting looks like dead spiders so best work on that lol
