I completed the HL WGT about a week ago and I haven’t heard anything although the deadline is the 3rd of Jan so maybe they’ll start making AC invite decisions after that.
I’m slightly confused now because I submitted my application on the 17/12 and got my WGT on the 19/12 so it was pretty quick… Perhaps it is based on a simple screening initially and not a thorough application review and they only do that after the deadline and only after everyone has submitted their WGT?
No - they are saying they haven’t made a decision yet, probably because they haven’t had the time to review applications yet.
After the WG I had an email saying we’d hear back end of Feb by the latest
I applied a little before midnight, so not quite on the deadline, and heard back yesterday.
It's not automatic. Applications are reviewed first. Hence the length of time between submission and receipt of WG invite.
It is timed. No. The prep time was 1-2 mins (I forget), beginning when you see the question, and the answer time was 2 mins.
I was told by grad recruitment that they only look at applicants’ responses to the online questions (thoroughly) if you’ve passed the Watson Glaser, and that one reason they have it is to make their lives easier with less applications to review? Unless you mean something different?
This is interesting because I did their vac scheme and I was told otherwise. Maybe it's a very superficial review
Yeah, it’s usually to see if you meet the minimum requirements before sending you the WG
Congrats!! When did you apply and when is your VI set to take place and did they offer multiple dates to choose from? (I’m thinking of applying next year)
There were 5 and they were mixed in with the other types of questions and spread out through the assessment.
