Completely bombed some online tests. Panicked with the timer and lost focus. It's a shame as I worked hard on the app and spent all morning practicing these tests. Has anyone ever felt like they bombed the tests and still gotten to the next stage? I'm just annoyed with myself :(

Just realised Osborne Clarke’s application doesn’t have anywhere to explain mitigating circumstances for university education, only school/college? I’m a bit confused as to where to put my MC or if i should include it at all.
If there is no space I would either include in the college section. If you are not sure of this, I would email them and ask them where it would be best to write your mitigating circumstances in the application. You should include your mitigating circumstances, it is a very important part especially if they impacted massively and all firms will appreciate that.

I am so sorry you feel this way but these tests are extremely difficult to crack sometimes so I would not lose hope. I felt like I bombed all of them last year when I was applying and sometimes I did pass them so I would not worry too much, as hard as it might seem now. After you do these tests, it is just best to move on and focus on other applications or on other things because you do not want to overthink it, especially because there is nothing you can do to change what you have done.

Thank you so much, Axel. The college section is under Contextual Recruitment, would that be alright?

If I passed the app stage 6 months ago, would I need to rewrite my application answer for the question "Tell us about something – anything- that excites you and inspires you"?
Would it be smarter to rephrase things at least or add a few examples? or would it be advised that I write it on something new? I am not sure about this one cause it sounds a bit superficial that my source of inspiration is supposed to change within 6 months.
I think it would be smarter to rephrase the answer as you want to show progress in your application and you can also always improve or ameliorate an answer. I am sure they will probably not remember your answer from last year but if I was you I would either change my answer completely or tackle the same topic of my previous answer but from a slightly different angle if that makes sense. You always want to put your best foot forward so if that means rewriting an answer, following the example of the previous one you have made and which was successful, I personally would do that.

In virtual interviews do firms use questions from the application form and if they do can you provide the same or similar answer as the one in the application form?
I personally think that there is nothing wrong in using the same answer in a video interview, especially because saying an answer out loud may sound completely different from reading it. The questions are not the exact same as the applications most of the time but they do have common undertones so I would take that in mind, but they are different in nature for the most part. It depends on the firm to be honest.

I'm doing the Akin test and for part two with the sliders, I am getting this error, "There are questions that have not been interacted with. Are you sure you wish to continue?" despite interacting with all the questions on the page. Are you meant to slide all the way to one side or the other or use the full slider?

In the same boat for Freshfields (I'm non-law), expected a PFO - nothing. Did the WG last week - other friend (non-law) who applied was rejected pre-WG and another friend (law) got an AC invite last week. One wonders if there might be another batch of slots coming out?? Ugh, this is really painful.
I know some law students did the WG but still haven‘t receive the AC yet
