Thank you so much for your kind words, Avni. So reassuring to hear that I am not alone in my thoughts, it's easy to forget this sometimes! The wait is the worst! I felt so anxious in the weeks and months leading up to the outcome of my applications. I didn't have the same scheduling stresses as yours, but I can completely empathise as I had to do my applications and interviews to UK time while being in India, which meant that the panic of missing deadlines or scheduling interviews at weird times of the day in India was really stressful.
Patience is indeed a virtue, but please vent any stresses you have so that you're not burdened by them- we're all here for you! I hope you hear back sooner than you think- I'm rooting for you! 😇
I did mine last thurs so have waited 8 days. Will send an email or call them on monday if i've heard nothing as will have been 10 days. From chatting to people I know apparently they tend to take 7-10 days.Anyone know when White & Case will get back to people post AC?
Anyone else done a Capp assessment and scored very contradictory strengths and weaknesses? 😅
If its a Watson Glaser then it is a standardised critical reasoning test. There would be no personality elements?Has anyone done Cleary's Watson Glaser test earlier? What is it like? Is it the traditional questions or more personality based like A&O? Any tips will be extremely helpful.
Oh alright, thanks a lot. Does anyone know any free sites to practice WG test?If its a Watson Glaser then it is a standardised critical reasoning test. There would be no personality elements?
Clifford Chance grad rec has a good practice one, as well as The Lawyer Portal which gives tips and explanations for the answersOh alright, thanks a lot. Does anyone know any free sites to practice WG test?
A bunch of firms have links to practice WGs on their grad rec pages - can't remember exactly which but off the top of my head I think Clifford Chance, Linklaters, A&O and White & Case(?) should have themOh alright, thanks a lot. Does anyone know any free sites to practice WG test?
Was this for the summer or spring scheme?Reed Smith PFO- post SST
You're not alone at all! Please let me know if you need any help 😊Thank you so much for your kind words, Avni. So reassuring to hear that I am not alone in my thoughts, it's easy to forget this sometimes!
Hi there, so I have A*AC and I constantly worry about the C - I know it's a bit better than ABC, but it still makes me worry. However, it has never held me back - I've had ACs with Baker McKenzie, A&O, Mayer Brown, King & Spalding and a couple of others and not once did they ask me about it. I think the key is to really sell yourself in your application and prove what you can bring despite some A-level grades say about you. As you said, you've done well since, so it is just a case of persevering. After all, to be blunt, there's not anything you can do now - so just prove yourself in other ways. Good luck!Does anyone have any success stories of people with poor A levels securing TCs? I got ABC and all my other academics are strong (gcses, undergrad and postgrad) but I still feel like they hold me back - advice????
