Hey all, what would you say are the two biggest challenges facing key sectors within the legal industry (e.g technology, energy etc) at the moment?

Thanks in advance - trying to strengthen this area of my commercial awareness.
Off the top of my head technology would be pending regulation, particularly big tech - also the UKs proposed changes to data protection post Brexit. A little more niche within tech would be anything AI based and how that could/should be regulated and controlled and liability.

Energy the move towards renewables and ESG concerns alongside currently with the consumer price rises imminent in the UK I can imagine they are concerned with their image and reputation (not that big oil and energy have the most favourable of public perceptions)

BNPL and the regulation and rise of those providers - currently not regulated but should they be especially as more and more companies move into it.

There's a whole host of other more specific things but honestly its anything thats been in the news in the last 6 months or so really - feels quite difficult to do when the UK news is dominated by politics, parties and daft comments!

I just signed a TC offer and I just realised that I put some dates on my work experience history incorrectly :') I put down the year for two experiences incorrectly. Submitted the form last minute and didn't get to do a thorough check as my mother was admitted to hospital that day. Should I let Grad Rec know and does anyone think my offer will be retracted?

No problem, commercial awareness as a concept was something I always struggled to feel like I have ever done enough work towards! I see it now as knowing what's going on in the world and not looking at in isolation - I've always watched the news daily because I like to know what's going on in the world but now I make a conscious effort to think of the wider impact of what's going on, for example Russia/Ukraine situation might seem like its a world away from us in the UK but globally Russia is one of the largest oil producers and I think the largest of natural gas.
